QPR GAME THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Fuck me, that's depressing :(

We probably won't win, so why bother trying? jesus wept :(

Sport would be fucked with that attitude. You'd have just Usain Bolt entering the 100m; only Real and Barca playing in the whole of Spain; only Nadal, Federer, Murray and Djokovic bothering to enter the Grand slams; only a drugged up Lance Armstrong entering the Tour de France; only A P McCoy turning up with his horse.... etc. etc. And how boring would sport be then without anyone willing to compete with the elite? - fuck it, let skip straight to the CL and FA Cup semi-final every year and do away with the trivial matter of letting inferior clubs bother competing; after all, what's the point? :o

You can't have that attitude. Sport is bigger than that. You HAVE to try.
But that is a major part of the problem...... A lot of the time WE DON'T FUCKING TRY!! :banghead: :cussing:

Exactly. Pressure on Sp*rs now away at Chelsea and Stoke.

In fact, defeat for chavs tomorrow puts pressure on the chavs as well 8)

It was essential to win today, and we managed it (just!). Who gives a shit about performance; we know we're an average team, and 29pts from 36pts was surely beyond the expectations of 99% of our fan base... yet here we are! credit where it's due, I reckon. I certainly didn't expect it.

Agreed... the arrogance we showed in the FA Cup against Blackburn being a prime example BUT Dan said we shouldn't bother trying based on the performances "in recent weeks"... and I would argue that we've absolutely tried in recent weeks! lacked nerve and ability at times, but we've definitely tried.

By the sound of it we have a very different interpretation of what constitutes trying. :(

We finish 3rd last season. What changed? nothing. This season with the exception of 2008 has been the same as the last 8

You can hide behind the we won argument. But we were 1 up against the worst team in the league after 20 seconds but were hanging on.Every game for the last two months bar 20 mins v Utd we have played poorly

We all know Wenger will back these players while it is patently obvious they are not good enough. As i have said many times before if our only ambition is to finish 1 place above the Spurs with a £50m more wage bill we really are scrapping the barrel

We need 6 major signings would you trust Wenger with his recent record to sign them?

Wenger has to go in two games time or this shit will continue next season

As an example...........If you consider losing your concentration enough to pass the ball straight to Judas, and then take him out in the box then yes. If you call our total lack of movement in the final third against a relegated club then yes again. But as I said, different people have differing interpretations. :)
