Villa match thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Gibbs wtf? Just a cut - toughen up!!
He can't do it because usually it's a red card!
He had to make an attempt.

Didn't really have a choice. He was one-on-one with Agbonlahor, came out diving for the ball, Gab got there before him so Schezny took him out lol.
Everyone's favourite "new Tony Adams" Koscielny made the most pathetic attempt at a tackle you've seen in your life

So in the first 25 minutes of the new season the cameras managed to pick up:

- A banner saying "you can't buy class" (who needs signings????)
- Wenger remonstrating with the 4th official over a minor incident
- An opposition player waltzing through our non-existing defensive midfield from an original position of no danger
- "Potentially best defender in the league" Koscielny make a rash error of judgement and let a player get clean through
- Szczesny rashly rushing out and getting comfortably rounded, giving away a penalty and being lucky to stay on
- Fans moaning at the ref over every trivial call because we're playing shite
- A positive start fading away into nothingness and letting shit opposition get into the game
- A Kieran Gibbs injury (not that I'm blaming him for it!)

Nice to see we've hit the ground running!

And keepers often get unfair stick when players blast penalties fairly central and they can't really do anything but palm it straight out BUT that Benteke penalty was limply struck, easy to get to but wide enough to easily push away to safety.

Just fuck off Chesney. Red Member was right about him being an arrogant moron. He's turning into some sort of poor man's Grobelaar. Stay on your line you clueless wanker

can't believe we can't a good GK, because that would kill woj.

fabianski is 27 now and we heard the same rubbish when he was 23, that he is young and he'll learn.

de gea, same age, but the quality is there for all to see.

FFS he stopped a pen and still get criticised!! Have any of you played a game?
You want overrated - Wilshere is the name you're looking for. He will be good in 3 or 4 years but at the moment not so much. We are missing Arteta and Carzola badly.

No creativity in midfield at all. Badly missing Cazorla.

He also nearly cost us a second goal because he needlessly charged off his line AGAIN

Look in front of your eyes for overrated - Chesney is the most overrated keeper in the league

Villa at half time "we've got nothing to lose, these guys are a bunch of soft coks, lets ave em".
And I'd agree. Faaaark we need a hard man.

Pass pass pass turn pass pass turn pass pass pass turn....flick up to Chapman...attack over

Repeat a further 60 times until match ends 1-1

Still we've got loads of new strikers to call upon

We can do shit all nowadays if a team sits back. Nothing at all in mid field.

Somebody should fucking tether the arrogant prick to the back of the net so that he can't come rushing out needlessly. In the last 10 months or so he's been nearly as much of a liability as Almunia was.
