Swansea match thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I see that dimwit Wilshere is on twitter already posting a picture of him smiling on the way home from the match. Fucking moronic millionaires.

We didn't deserve a win anyway, we were fucking shit. Fucking fucking fucking shit. Fair play to Gibbs, Podolski and Cazorla for being the only ones who tried to attack and inject something into the game, the rest of them were pedestrians. When a side comes to defend as they did, the pointless passing from one byline to the other, across the edge of their box WON'T WORK FFS! Run at them, run towards the goal and make them scared and open up some space. Stop looking for the perfect, laser-guided passing route to goal because it's not going to happen! ARGHHHH!

Pretty much a 100% abject performance from us, and afterwards Hartson was v negative saying AW is stale on 5live. The tide seems to be turning in the media, and once they sense a story it becomes exceedingly hard to keep on going, if enough "pundits" start saying it I suspect the groundswell may cause his departure, just becomes untenable however stubbon he is. One or two phoning in to 5live spoke well and logically with reasons why AW needs to go.

About the only "positive" I thought was Gibbs run, and some of Kallstroms passes- his defending though was a worry

He actually said they (Arsenal) gave everything.
To get a draw against a team that began the night only 4 pts above the relegation zone. You must be mighty proud Arsene.
The only way now to shift this clown is finishing 5th, and I hope City get a hatful on Saturday.
We could have 2 big days, win the FA cup, then hear he has walked away.
The FA cup won't be enough to save him, but it will end the trophy drought.

No wonder our players are bottlers when the manager is bottling the press conferences.

I couldnt be arsed to get up at silly oclock to watch it so im not so irked , I will save my fury for after the City and Everton games.
If Wenger doea what he did against city and chelsea away ie play without a left back and let them come on to us then I will be chucking a ton of dummies out of the pram !

The lack of cohesion in the squad has been obvious since ramsey got injured and since he wont return this season I have a horrible feeling we are about to implode !

We had very little confidence until the last 20 minutes.
The players were shells.
Couple of goals then we looked revitalised, only for a comical error at the end.

But Swansea were there for the taking, they looked as heavy legged as their Rugby League style shirts suggested.

4th is now in doubt.

Not really the March exit from Europe and the slide down the table are a normal occurence in Wengerland ,we then rally and see off the pretenders for the virtual trophy .
Unfortunately we have the distraction of an FA Cup semi which is clearly weighing heavily on the mind of le Prof.

We dont have a game changer in the side a person who can see whats going wrong and alter it on the pitch without looking like a headless chickens and this season wengers tactics have shot us in the foot time and again .

The Next 2 games have become crucial we must not lose to Everton !

Didn't deserve to win, so glad we didn't, thus no bullshit speech from Wenker.
The look of distress on his face when they equalised was priceless, :barscarf: the arrogant smirk of a few months ago gas long gone and I'm sure he has turned 2 shades greyer in the last week.
Fuck him!!!!!!!!

I've just read 'The Failed One's'comments:
"At 2-1 we became too conservative because of what happened on Saturday,"
"And instead of continuing to attack we were more worried to keep the score."

Well, far be it from me to suggest anything but actually getting up from your seat, directing the players a little bit and I don't know, actually managing them might have prevented this. Coming out with these stupid comments after games makes me mad because that is what you are paid to prevent. If you don't want it to happen, then tell the players what to do and how to do it. I'd imagine that might be part of your job description, you clueless buffoon.
