Needless to say, I had the last laugh - now

Mitchell Johnson gets his 300th test wicket dismissing Bairstow with a short ball.
Bairstow out for 5.
Piss-poor start for England but Australia will be buzzing.

And again!
Stokes is gone for a duck after another short ball.
Buttler survives the over as Johnson sends yet another bouncer down.
It's up for grabs now.

England's sixth wicket falls - bowled by Starc, and it's the key wicket of Root.
He's gone for 63 and it was a soft dismissal which he'll be kicking himself over.
England will be lucky to get a lead of 100 here.
Eng 182 - 6.

Nathan Lyon dismisses the wretched Buttler lbw for 9. He doesn’t even bother to review the dismissal, which, if he had done, would have been overturned.
This is some rank awful play from England who have totally pissed away their massive advantage by batting like absolute *word censored*.
Why the fuck did Buttler not review? Fucking idiot.

England have somehow managed to get to lunch with some wickets in hand. This has been an abject session from England, who would have hoped to put on a big lead this morning.
Still, a lead, however minor, is a lead: England 221 – 7, Moeen has 23 and Broad 10.

Broad moves to 21 upon the resumption of play and so moves England’s lead to 100; any runs from now on are a bonus.

Ali's batting is a bit random at the moment.
It's frustrating Johnson

Broad’s gone for a pretty handy 31, adding some much needed runs with Ali (57). Finn’s the next man in and England are 278 - 8, with a lead of 142.

Ali’s gone now, holing out to Warner off the bowling of Hazlewood for 59; what a super little innings.
278 – 9.

England’s innings is over; they’re all out for 281 with Anderson the last man out for 3. England lead Australia by 145 runs; which is better than they could have expected given their propensity for throwing their wickets away.

Warner’s out!
Broad’s caught him on the crease, he contemplates reviewing but takes too long and is walking off. It would have been umpire’s call though, so it’s a good job (from an Aussie point of view) that he didn’t review it.
Smith’s in next.

Warner's still there, Offers. Rogers is out

What a tit I am. You are, of course, correct: he's been slaying us all over the place.
