Barca Home Tuesday 19.45

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

That is never a straight red, I'm sorry but if that had been one of our players everyone on here would have gone ballistic had a red been given. Should have been a yellow though, and there is nothing more ridiculous than a spindly prick like that squaring up to somebody that would drop them stone dead with one punch.

They are despicable, the way Alba, Alves and co leap six feet in the air pointing to a body part whenever anybody has the temerity to try and tackle them is sickening. Don't care how archaic it sounds, I would love to see somebody stick one on one of that lot.

You watch Arsenal pressing and harrying, hunting the ball in packs and keeping their shape....
Then you ask yourself why on earth the manager is incapable of getting them to play like this regularly in the league?
It's basically got to be arrogance of sorts, or an admission the manager can only motivate them for the "cup final".
If Arsenal played like this over the past month or two then they'd be 10 points clear at the top of the league. No question.

They are a fucking disgrace to football and always will be. They try it on from the first minute and no ref ever stands up to them. They are plain, whiny, snide little *word censored*. For all their talent, they choose to con the ref at every opportunity.

I've already mentioned this some posts back, we don't feel superior to barca so know we need to work hard, against lesser teams we are just arrogant and don't apply ourselves.

That will be down to players and manager I presume.

What better challenge than playing against the best?

Alternatively, if Barca are to knock us out it is better to be now than 6 games down the track.

Carn you gooners! :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:
6 games down the track??? You mean in the second leg of the semi's?? What are you on??
I'm suggesting that there are two teams in the last 16 that we could have conceivably beaten in the 16 and quarters before facing Barcelona as an example. ??? Not really I big call.

You can bet that if somebody had put their face within a country mile of HGH-pumped messiah Messi at the Nou Camp, there would have been 90,000 whistling Barcelona fans, 7 Barcelona players in the ref's face, paramedics running onto the pitch ready to tend to the injured boy wonder - would the referee then let the opposition player get away scot-free? Not a chance.

Any would he follow it up by failing to talk to the same player for scythinf down and opposition player in full flow?

As expected, if wenger had a striker we'd be winning this, but he doesn't we pushed up, lost our shape, and now we're fucked
