Protest Saturday

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I assume RedAction and BSM will disappear again and do fuck all.
Of course they will mate they had their few days worth of media coverage and that's all they care about.

Very Harsh on DT Herd, I think he gives valid reasons for wanting Wenker out, knows his football and above all else actually goes to matches so is fully entitled to voice his opinions (many of which I agree with)

I'm not sure how much attention he is personally seeking or just raising awareness (isn't that what is the point of protesting ? )

I don't do twitter, as it holds no interest for me, I only post on here, the occasional sarcastic post on the clubs official site or the odd facebook comment, so who is doing what on social media I cannot say.

To all with banners, stickers, posters with Wenger Out, I thank you all.

Just heard about Red Action and BSMs new hardline stance on the Wenger issue and they've planned another protest for the Villa game..........

"At 12mins and 78mins and after the game all AKBs and WOBs are encouraged to turn and give eachother a big hug."
Also hold up the following card........

Won't there be a semi-planned mass exodus before the lap of shame? I know there's a mass exodus anyway, but still...

Holding up banners at FT? Plans will have to be kept under wraps, I'm sure.

Guys i know this may seem a bit obvious but please ensure you are all very well prepared if you plan a protest this weekend, i have a feeling things may not be particularly pleasant for you if you are in small numbers and in separated groups.

Please remember that over the last few weeks a number of you have appeared either purposefully or accidentally on various forms of social media and believe you me the club and the stasi will have been taking note.

All i'll say is stick together and make sure you have people to cover your backs and actions some from a distance to provide perspective if you get my meaning. The club appear to be taking this more seriously than any of us would have expected and any excuse they can will be used to remove you and potentially ban you in future.

As someone said on a different thread 'old school fans' who don't toe the party line are no longer desired by the club and we know how good Arsene FC have become at spinning things to their benefit over the years.

Good luck and stay safe guys :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

This one is interesting. They have a sensible call for fans to be banned for assault which most here would agree with along with a backhanded way of requesting that banners are not confiscated.

They also request that Kroenke clarify his claims regarding not being in it to win. Fair enough really. He's going to get asked this at the shareholders meeting anyway, so he really should just come out and say something.

They also state:

"We call on our club to publicly confirm that:
a - supporters are allowed a voice and that they are allowed to express their opinions in a peaceful, non-aggressive manner."

We know that they're not because it was our club confiscating banners at the City game and there is evidence to support this.

I think WOBs should go with the post-ironic placards.

They should hold "Arsene is ALWAYS right", "Fourth place IS a trophy", "Who needs shots on target when you've got Giroud?" , "Who'd heard of Sanogo?" and "Who'd heard of winning the league before Arsene arrived?"

What could the AKBs complain about? Their tiny minds might just implode.

Wenger not mentioned or referenced once in any capacity in that statement.

Back to moaning about the board which nobody is going to take issue with.

Total dicks claiming credit for the clubs "lack of ambition being firmly on the media agenda"

Talk about bandwagon jumping.

Couple good comments below it though lads.

If we are to assume that the 3 entities involved (the Gooner, bsm and redaction) are claiming to be making this statement on behalf of their members and readers, then how is it possible that none of their members are calling for wenger to be replaced ? I mean if I was a member of those groups and I was openly saying that I want wenger gone, then I would be pissed as hell that he isn't mentioned once whilst gazidas and kroenke are singled out  We know that at least half of the members on this forum are pointing the finger squarely at wenger, so are we not being factored in when the Gooner signs up to that half arsed offering ? :(

They are obviously scared to rub people up the wrong way with the Wenger issue - pathetic.

The laughable thing is that I bet not a single person who held up a placard wasn't in favour of Wenger leaving - yet the whole farce is badget with woolly messages about "the regime" or Kroenke or Gazidis.

I can't understand their reluctance to blame anything on Wenger but conversely their outright blaming of a lot of the problems on Ivan and Wiggy, to me that shows exactly where they think the power base at the club lies, lets be honest usually a manager is a much easier target to get at than the board/owner. :banghead:

Are they so terrified of his reaction, or his adoring fans that they totally ignore his ineptitude or downright avoid it just in case they upset him and his followers?

These groups are supposed to be the leading voices in the supporters movements but they seem to be only interested in not upsetting AW and his adoring minions as opposed to pointing out his numerous failings. :cussing:
