As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The shit hits the fan.

HE WILL REMAIN AT THE HELM FOR QUITE A WHILE.

I commend all the protests against Wenger, Kranky and the board. Whether it's staying away from games, walking out during games, giving up seasons tickets, holding up placards or otherwise.
We all make our own protests, which can suit us.
I've never been to The Souless Bowl. My last game was in the final against Barcelona.
I'd been a regular for decades before then.
I use to see his, "I didn't see it" as a cute piss take to journo's, but because he got away with it, then his undefatigable control of the club has allowed him to get away with contesting if any criticism is worth a jot, unless accompanied by thirty years of experience.
He was good, once. Now he's shite. From lying about finances, to team enforcements, tactics, contracts to duds, substitutions ya da ya da ya .
To blame THE supporters, who dare question him and his abilities to arrive us as PL Champions and to blame them for the reason why we are not, this year. Sheesh.
I'm not part of this club anymore, I don't want to be associated with it, and it feels terrible.

I fucking loathe every aspect of it. From having to have a season ticket, not standing, chanting, swearing. People having phones/tabs/selfieshite. To stewards stasi, overpaid drama queen Giroud types and Wenger/Kranky.

I bet a penny to a pound that he is here in 2019.

How can you call sitting on your ass doing nothing "a protest" lol. A protest ffs!
Lots of people dont attend games. Are they protesters too?

Then its "a personal protest" lol Yea so personal you post and brag about it on an internet forum ffs.

You say you want him to leave "with his head held high" yet in the next breath say you want him gone now. Dont make sense and contradictory mate.

Most of your posts are excusing, apologosing or supporting Wenger, then you say "ah but Im only playing devils advocate" Do me a favour.

Just like how Ive shown by highlighting your hypocracy. Just be proud of it. Theres no shame at all.
Tick tick tick tick that blood vessels gonna pop soon!

Sustained protests :coffeespit: :coffeespit:

The only thing I am happy about is the knowledge that you value my words so much that you're taking the time to look back at all my old posts. I hope you've learned a lot. I'm here all week if you have any questions!

Essentially many of us want him gone and want to protest to show our views. My method is to not give them the thing they care about most.... Money. Yours is to show a banner and chant. In reality both are equally futile. You're just working your way to an early grave from stress and I'm just depriving myself of watching the team I've supported for 40 years.
He'll go when he's ready and not before. I just hope it is sooner rather than later. And with regard his leaving with his head held high? Yes, I'd have liked to have seen that but I don't think it's a reality now. He could have done so, probably even as recently as the start of this season, but not now, I totally accept that. I just think it's a real shame that it has come to this.
Agreed, mate. I too would have liked to see him go with dignity. I do understand some fans do now genuinely hate him (and some are just keyboard warriors that like to shout the loudest), but I never hated him and still don't, to be honest. But I am now at the stage that I don't care anymore how he goes, just so he goes, for the good of the club and my love of the game.

It's like that ex-girlfriend that you just couldn't work it out with. She was fine but it went to shit and you split up, amicably enough. Initially you are still friends and you wish her all the best. You still care about her a bit. Then a few years later you find out she's riding one of your mates now and you wish the dirty bitch nothing but bad. You still can't hate her as such (because of all them goooood times you had!) but you sure as hell don't like her anymore. :(

Arsene - stop riding my mates!! :D
Some are just deluded enough to think they can influence matters mate. I recall a story about sugar mice. I can't remember where now but it was something to do with Arsenal win if they bought them but lost if they didn't. As if buying sweets could affect the outcome of a game :-)
It's a bit like 10 seconds of "Arsene, with the greatest of respect would you awfully mind toodling off to another club please, pretty please Sir" is going to get him to quit ! Lmfao mate

And I agree, he's got to stop riding my mates. I know a bloke called Gus we could offer up for him to ride

It could only work if nobody turned up though. Otherwise it doesn't have legs. Shouting won't work sadly. You've got to either hit them in the pocket or humiliate them. A stadium full of paying customers making lots of noise will be interpreted as the fans getting behind the team. Remember that you're dealing with a spin specialist !

Cheers mate.
I've watched more Leyton Orient, Charlton, Millwall, Palace and Burnley games in these past years.
Fucking blast they've been too. Actually, Palace have been just about the best.
Arsenal are a dream from the past. I wouldn't be bothered to toss a coin for a ticket at "that" Grove, if my life depended upon it.

LOVE ARSENAL
Not, whatever that means these days

Couldn't give a flying fuck about him going with dignity and all that.

His credit has long since dried up and he has been on borrowed time since the 2011/12 debacle.

That team was as poor as could possibly be expected given our wage bill. The only way was up yet 4 years later we are in reality no closer to winning the league and just about as poor a side even though we have 3 quality players in Cech, Ozil and Sanchez. And Wenger is still condescending and insistent that he is doing a good job.

A continued majority fan protest would have to remove him. There couldn't be any club anywhere that if the majority of their fans wanted a manager out that a manager could survive.

The problem we have is that a big majority of our fans want him to stay. The WOB are definitely in the minority. Lately there have been a good few that have gently descended the AKB bandwagon but even with these defectors the WOB are still in the minority and alot of them are not willing to back protests "but do want him gone" .

I also fear that a lot of the defectors on the back of a couple of decent games will be back on the AKB bandwagon quicker than u can say "Where are my flipflops at"

Anyone belittling the protest the other day saying it was only a small percentage of the ground etc should view it more as a start. Who would have thought that this kind of thing could happen inside the bowl - right behind him in the dugout. Its out there in the media and he's being questioned about it. He'll be under the microscope from now on - every time we have a limp dicked performance it'll be highlighted and more questions will be asked.

Keep up the good work. Everything has to start somewhere.

For those who think that no matter what u do nothing will change even though u do want change - u have a stinking back of shit in the corner of ur living room that u don't want there. The bag is not going to go by itself, u have to get up and get rid of it urself

I would still say it depends on the numbers. If they get a half empty stadium every match, sure they would have to react. But I don't think they could ignore half the ground vocally against the manager either. When the new season and CL start again the ground will be full no doubt, so what matters is if most of them are displaying anti-wenger or not. Otherwise we would just be handing the club over to a new breed of fans. But again, I have complete sympathy with all who don't want to leave any money there, and I also accept that as a protest.

Theres been protests at every game since Everton. And there'll be protests at city and the villa game. Thats sustained imo.
Yet we have people on this forum who claim to want Wenger out but do nothing about it, mocking and belittling these protesters.

Just like those at the Emirates who claim to want him out yet sing "one Arsene Wenger"

Wierd.
