As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

This season we are 1st in the league for
Average possession
Average passes per game
and
Passing accuracy......
Is this our first ever treble?
3 MORE YEARS, 3 MORE YEARS
From arsenal.com:
Leicester’s success comes despite them having the lowest passing accuracy and the third lowest average possession in the top flight
This makes a complete mockery of the pass-it-to-death-possession-is-king style that we play.
Brings to mind Wengers quote about the prettiest wife when Fergie said his team is better.
Wenger obviously privately still thinks he has a better team than Leicester.
Shame that in real life his wife has bolted from him, and a few of our better players may well do likewise this summer.
Leicester have completely overturned Wenger's world view and he's clearly baffled about it. While our "artists" were busy passing sideways and backwards, Drinkwater and Mahrez were going directly for Vardy (a mobile striker who knows where the goal is).
I'm reading Slaven Bilic in the Evening Standard talking about the momentum at West Ham. You realise there is a club with ambition which we just don't have.
He says "to match that momentum, perhaps you have to go outside your budget because maybe some players are ready now to come to West Ham. Now is the time, you can feel that"
Now Arsenal should have realised that this season was their time and really gone for it. However we didn't and the opportunity has been lost. What a mess the whole club is in...

Still have people coming up with the " no money due to paying off the stadium mortgage" bullshit argument to excuse and mitigate Wengers abject failure.
Even if it were true, (which it absolutely is not), its a manageable debt. I have a mortgage, car loan, wife, kids fs. Its manageable.
Doesnt mean everything gets put on hold and we're on bread and water until the house is paid fs.
Total bullshit non-argument and not even true anyway because the transfer money was always (and still is) available to him.
The Old Fraud's bullshit 'artificial position' justification for not hiring any of the ex-players (barring his Sky propagandist and Bouldy) as coaches was a disgrace. It goes to show what regard he'd even have for them, by saying he wouldn't want to displace any of the U14 coaches. That says it all -The man wants no-one 'interfering' with his clusterfuck 'coaching' of the first team, when he needs all the help he can get
He doesn't even want Arteta coaching at the club, despite being his poster boy, FFS (Of course Pep will have happily have Arteta as a coach, which speaks volumes). It sounds like TOF wouldn't even want his beloved Ramsey or Giroud coaching at the club in the future; the man is that set in his (failed) principles. No wonder we never seen Adams, Seaman, Bergkamp, etc staying on as coaches. It's a one-man band with TOF
It hurts that none of those great players stayed on at the club as coaches. What a scandalous waste of success, talent and knowledge.
He doesnt want them getting any credit at all and maybe he views them as possible threats to his 8mill pa cushy job.
Just look how Bould was put back in his box and Keown was ditched after they got some credit for defensive coaching.
Crazy how these fantastic resources are left untouched and unused. No different from the transfer money he has refused to use all these years. Scandalous how he runs the club for him and him alone.

Oh God Dear GOD! PLEASE!!! Let that be true.....PLEASE!
in the mean-time....
"Alexis Sanchez is frustrated with life at Arsenal and even stormed out of the stadium after being substituted in last weekend's win against Norwich. The 27-year-old forward has two years left on his contract. (Daily Telegraph)"

Who could/can we get that could/can do as good as Wenger? Theres nobody. Absolutely nobody.
Eddie Howe could do a better job than the cluelesstwat.
Yes agreed, would think Koeman would be a good fit, but have a feeling it will be Henry as his successor that will be a few years yet though
Yes, I think so too.... I guess it all depends on how much say Clueless has in who his his Successor will be.... And as we all know nothing happens at Arsenal without him poking his over-sized nose into it...
Don't be fooled lads, that's an old headline from when he suggested he 'may leave' at the end of his deal. The extension is coming...
One positive is that his contract runs to May 31st 2017, so that means there's only 389 days to go (although I have to add that there's likely to be another 720 days tacked on to this purgatory). Why can't The Old Fraud realize it's all pointless now and just fuck off?
Im resigned to him waddling around next season, but this transfer window will show how much the recent criticism has effected him. Any other manager would invest in the team to placate the fans, and give himself a better opportunity. However Wenger is arrogant, and ignorant to his own limitations. He thinks his 'philosophy' is some magical thing. However the reality is his philosophy would never be adopted by other managers, as its a tried and tested method of avoiding trophies. This is Wengers ignorance - the failure to recognise his own flaws, and his arrogance is not admitting his initial methods were wrong, and changing them. So he continues the same tried tested and failed methods, because not doing so is a de-facto admission he was wrong in the first place. And given his almost religious belief in his capabilities, he cannot fathom that he could have been wrong.
Ive been waiting for the Wenger epiphany, were the light goes on over his head and he realises, 'I have it all wrong'. But his extreme belief in his capabilities, ensures he will not explore the idea he could be wrong. In Arsene's mind - he is a genius. And those who question him are mere mortals without the intellectual capability to understand the scope of what he is trying to do. Who are we peasants and farm boys, to question and intellectual football genius? When Wenger is questioned, he thinks its an abomination, and its equivalence would be say , Adrian Durham lecturing Stephan Hawking on the secrets of the universe.
