Abso-bloody-exactly. I've always held that against Wenger. It was a mean spirited thing to do. He must have known at that stage Wrighty was on the way out. Should have stuck him on. He had earned it throughout the awful average nineties.

I was a bit upset over that as well, growing up in the 90s Wrighty was one of my heroes and an absolute legend and one reason why I supported the mighty AFC

Well we actually bid in '05 when things were ok, what are we supposed to do, give the rights to hosting it back? Olympics are gonna be quality and fully worth it imo
