But you forgot the moral victory against Bayern Munichnorthbank123 wrote:The biggest protest is the one our players have been on starting with the Watford game at the end of January.
We've won four games since then - two against non-league sides and the other two at home to two of the worst clubs in the league.
This has been a collapse to rival 2010/11. And there's plenty more to come.

Re: Wenger Out protests
The longer the debate goes on about if he's staying or not, the more I think he'll still be here next season. For me, the club are waiting for the sponsors, the corporates, the box holders etc, eventually the season ticket holders, and silver and red members and even the junior gunners to part with their money and renew for next season before they break the news. Forget about waiting lists and people wanting to replace anyone choosing to walk away.
I think everyone's going to have to accept the fact he might still be here next season. Note I said 'might'.
Our problem is Kroenke and to an extend Gazidis. They need to go, and Wenger needs to have targets or someone to be accountable to. He's running the club from the bench and his bosses let him. I'm sure it wasn't like that back in the Dein days. They had a great working relationship, and in Dein he had a boss who knew and understood football and our culture. He was also a true Arsenal fan as well. I've read somewhere that they're still close, speak often and socialise together still.
Even though the club is a PLC, there are only a few shareholders and most of them are on the board and have hoarded the shares between them (and I would take a guess they're yes men and pro-wenger). There are very few Joe Bloggs shareholders. It was only a few years ago before the yank turned up that a share was trading at around £15k each and it wasn't easy to buy any. I've no idea what they trade for now, but it will be higher I'm sure.
Any other business with shareholders would be going garity at the current state of affairs, lack of ambition (4th place is acceptable) and poor results for return of investment in his £8m + a year salary, money spent on the squad, stadium, training ground etc etc).
Wenger has got it to easy at the club. For me Kroenke and Gazidis out, Usmanov and Red & White Holdings take over and in. From what I gather Dein sided with Usmanov and along with Danny Fizman they sold their interests in the club to him as they were anti-Stan. Someone might have to confirm or correct me on the facts here, but that's how I seem to remember how it was.
Dein comes back in c/o the Russian and as much as a lot of us won't want it Wenger get's a another contract ( he's probably already got one c/o Stan by now anyway) but he is now accountable to his new bosses. If he fails, he steps down. They won't sack him, he'll retire or resign and go upstairs. The man will have a job for the rest of his life at the club. The worry then is will he interfere and meddle. We're never going to just get rid of him.
Rant over, but in short I thinks he'll still be here and frustrating everyone next season. The only saving grace might be if he cracks under all the recent pressure and poor results and retires.

Just LMAO at wanting Gazidis and Kroenke out and not wanting Wenger out. Laughable stuff.

The idea that both Kroenke and Gazidis are somewhat culpable in this current run of form is frankly laughable in my view.
Although no one supports the current regime, the fact remains that the old has been has been given over the last few years, a budget comparable to most of the top teams in Europe. He has had 20 years at the helm and is not only not keeping up with other teams, he is now regressing at an alarming rate.
He has the money but has not got the knowledge any longer in the modern game. A has been, a charlatan and quite frankly, a pernicious influence throughout the club.
I for one would NOT want Kroenke giving him anymore money to spend, god knows what he would buy and if they were of any quality, they would soon have that drilled out of them.
Kroenke is not the immediate problem, the footballing dinosaur that is Wenger, is the problem.

How many more chances are you going to give Wenger? He doesn't need targets or accountability, he just needs to go.HARLOW GOONER wrote:

On the subject of Dein, he may have worked well with Wenger in the past but that was a very long time ago. He is also 73, so bringing him back really is not the answer.

OUT!! There is no band aid solution here...first Wenger, then Kroenke. We are not interested in rearranging the deck chairs on the Titantic. OUT...and we start from scratch if necessary.NickF wrote:How many more chances are you going to give Wenger? He doesn't need targets or accountability, he just needs to go.HARLOW GOONER wrote:

Wilson - nice idea to think Kroenke might walk away but he won't. He has never sold any of his sports franchises and has got no intention of doing so.
Wenger will be here for at least another 4 years unless there starts to be significant protests at home games. From what I saw last week 99% of the Emirates crowd are quite happy the way things are, the manager wants to stay and the board are happy for him to do so.
That is the reality.

Latest on Twitter is that the players and manager didn't deserved the "disrespect" they got boarding the team coach at Selhurst Park after the game.
Relegation wouldn't turn some of the AKBs against Wenger and his pussycat dolls.

I'm glad that our precious flowers and their leader are getting serious stick inside and outside the ground. They deserve it. Our fans bellowing you're not fit to wear the shirt and refusing to give the ball back was cathartic. They should be feeling shit and ashamed getting back on the team bus.Bradywasking wrote:Latest on Twitter is that the players and manager didn't deserved the "disrespect" they got boarding the team coach at Selhurst Park after the game.

But some bloke shouting stuff like "fuck off bacj to Germany" at Mustafi isn't helpful. There's a way to protest passionately and fiercely (and even aggressively) but the moment you mention anything about nationality or serious personal abuse you are going to get condemnation.

Re: Wenger Out protests
So sad it has come to this.
Were gonna have to get rid of the fans they are effecting wengers confidence.
Nah realy it is a shame 2010 he should have walked, then on the recent FA cup winning season would have been dignified but now its a fight to get him out.

Just wondering.......do you think we'll be fined again for playing without a captain??
