THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

And according to the local Lord Mayor, he should have many stadiums built all over the region

Need to go further than that, we need stadiums built all over the UK and further afield where the disciples can worship further whilst we await the 3rd, 4th (fcuk, how many contracts has he signed ? ) coming.

We need at least Three New Players of the right calibre in the right positions.

At 580k Wenger could pay for (if not actually build) 10 of those stadiums every year and still have a couple of million left over.

And just how that picture shows how undistinguished his career was before he joined Arsenal. Yet we are meant to think he made us rather than us making him. Totally outrageous.

The reality is that whatever their views on Wenger the only sort of bloke who would want to be a spokesperson/Arsenal Fan TV celebrity is somebody who desperately craves attention and is therefore likely to be a bellend of some sort.

What question is that? - I think I've missed something

You can voice any sensible opinion on here can't you?
Really! Can we?

I always thought DT articulates himself pretty well on Arsenal Fan TV though not so much on his own channel.
If you are doing a banner protest, the whole point is to draw attention to it...

That's exactly how I feel, exactly! :banghead:

Yes me too losing to Watford and going out the cup in that manner.....remember many times at Highbury when we were losing the last 20 minutes there was normally a siege on the away goal, constant effort......fans willing them on.......
And then to add insult to injury we go out and smash the fuck out of them 4-0 in a nothing PL game a couple weeks later, without breaking a sweat. We should have set a record for 3 FA Cup wins in a row this year. But Wenger and his spineless millionaire footballers fucked that. :x

I agree Nick. The banner protests were dead in the water until DT got the memories banner out from under someones bed and actually showed it. He breathed new life into it, gave it a focus and a face. Now the protests have an identity and a focus.
Because of what he did the banner protests were reinvigorated and actually began to draw media attention to criticism of Wengers failure rather than what would have been praise for another top four finish.

DT in reality is not a "bellend", rather a nice, ordinary, bloke who like a lot of us has had enough of Wenger and decided to take proactive, direct action to try to change the status quo. If, as a result of that he gets 15mins of internet "fame" and enjoys it, so what? And so what if he has a tattoo fs?

Fair play to him is what I say. I'd rather he takes the abuse from Wenger supporters and childish comments from begrudging assholes sniping at him on internet forums than me.
