THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Ian Wright said NO, NO, NO...... Ok for him to back him ruining our football experience but Wright doesn't want Wenger anywhere near his beloved England.

Taken from sky's transfer centre on their website -

"SOUTHAMPTON NEAR PUEL DEAL

Talks remain ongoing between Southampton and the former Nice head coach Claude Puel as a deal to appoint him as successor to Ronald Koeman edges closer.

An announcement confirming his arrival at St Mary’s will be made by the end of the week, according to Sky sources.

The 54-year-old led unfancied Nice to within two points of Champions League in France last season and we understand that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger advised the Saints during the process"

So yet again he is sticking his oar into business that has absolutely fcuk all to do with him   He is now finding time to do pundit on france tv AND persuade a rival club on who to appoint as manager, and yet he is doing fcuk all to improve a team in dire need of a few quality players  The people who want him to stay in charge must be well pleased at how impressively he is correcting the fcuk ups of last season, cos of course this was (again) the summer that he was going to recognise our shortcomings and correct them  Those deluded fuckwits probably see it as a badge of honour that French tv and Southampton want to hear wengers opinions    :censored: :censored: :cussing:

No, it's Theo's Unicorn...Did you know Theo shaves my balls once a month to get the hair he needs to stick on his boat race to make him look like he can almost grow a tash.

From BBC Website:

"Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is at the top of the Football Association's list of candidates to replace Roy Hodgson as England manager. (Daily Star)"

I don't see him jumping from an extremely highly paid cushy job - where he answers to No One - Into a job that will be on half the salary and will - should he fail - result in him being hated by all English Football Fans anf not just Gooners.

There again the way Wenger's ego works - he may not be able to resist.

Go on Arsene we (Gooners) understand mate - You go do your bit for Ingerland. :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

It makes me laugh when people talk about Wenger managing England. Can anyone explain just what qualities Wenger has to be successful with a national job?
He has no tactical nous, he's not a motivator and he doesn't know what to do during a game when things ain't going to plan.
Having said all that he should definitely take it if it's offered to him :D

Sounds a bit over qualified for the England job!
