You joke but judging by last season most people are more than happy for Wenger to continue. Witness the singing of his name. If you put out a banner disagreeing you get verbally and physically abused. The likes of ArsenalTv and the twaterazi (Memz etc.) are convinced it is his last year so we don't protest but I'm not so sure - if that contract extension is offered, Wenger will sign it.OneBardGooner wrote:It's all a game that Wenger and The board play - a bit of friendly cat & Mouse Banter -

Wenger doesn't want the England job, but my word this 'interest' has come along at the perfect time to spook our board into some nice early-season contract negotiations.
Wenger quids in, the board have a legitimate reason to push for a new deal and the wheel keeps turning. Wenger until summer 2020

Well I was feeling negative with the above post, but that's before I just learned we're in for Takuma Asano from Sanfrecce Hiroshima of Japan. Described only as "tentative enquiries" so far, but hopefully the sooner we can get him through the door, the sooner he can get loaned out to Beveren and get him trained up for 18/19

Yep - or the sooner he can end up at Palace or Charlton in 18/19. Yay! Wenger Nose!Robin_L wrote:Well I was feeling negative with the above post, but that's before I just learned we're in for Takuma Asano from Sanfrecce Hiroshima of Japan. Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I hadn't realised PSG had signed up Emery.
Another opportunity this 'forward thinking and ambitious board may have missed. Lets just stick with Wenger, tried and tested profit maker.

Wenger for England. Love to hear his excuses for failure if "financial doping" and the like are taken out of the equation.

The premiership players are "a leetle bit jaded" after a long season

Of course he doesn't. He is not required there to make money, his remit will be to coach, to manage, to get results. Definitely NOT in his wheelhouse.Robin_L wrote:Wenger doesn't want the England job, but my word this 'interest' has come along at the perfect time to spook our board into some nice early-season contract negotiations.![]()

Not really mate - Though what else are we to do - Our "Football Team & Club" has become a business - managed by a egomaniac and owned by a motherfukkacunt - and other than protesting in various ways - which they have also managed to persuade the sheepleAKBCunts to do all they can to stop...we are fuckked.

You can just imagine the scenario coming..........
Arsenal Football Club are delighted to announce that despite being offered the England national team job, Arsene Wenker has remained loyal to the club he built single handed and we can proudly announce he has committed to be our lifetime manager on an increased salary of £10m per season + profit related bonus.

Are there "emerging" stars from the Wales squad who Wenger has had his "eye on/noticed" for at least 5 years now?? Of course we already have one of the worst of them. He actually plays ok under Coleman, complete pants under Wenger.
EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING wrong with Arsenal is related to Wenger. Ronaldo, Pogba even Messi would probably fail under him. The only people who respect him anymore are all his ex players who are in the media.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Wenger did say he would not sign a new deal until AFTER next year, that way he can he judged based on his performance this year. For him to be rewarded with a contract extension after this season would have been a scandal. I dont know why the board are so scared of change. They are such small thinkers, none of them are bold and brave. They appear petrified of life after Wenger, for no other reason than things will be different, and they might be pushed out of their comfort zone.
The board, Ivan and Gazidis are happy to go through the motions for as long as possible.
