Wenger did say he would not sign a new deal until AFTER next year, that way he can he judged based on his performance this year. For him to be rewarded with a contract extension after this season would have been a scandal. I dont know why the board are so scared of change. They are such small thinkers, none of them are bold and brave. They appear petrified of life after Wenger, for no other reason than things will be different, and they might be pushed out of their comfort zone.

The board, Ivan and Gazidis are happy to go through the motions for as long as possible.

Why the fucking hell is the *word censored* allowed to keep doing it? Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Japanese Takuma Asano after agreeing a deal with Sanfrecce Hiroshima to bring the 21-year-old to north London.

Sportsmail revealed on Friday that Arsenal were set to land Asano with Arsene Wenger viewing the striker as one for the future.
