Thoughts on Juanfran as a Sagna replacement?

His age is not a problem for me

Juventus and Arsenal are interested in Sheffield United's 18-year-old striker Diego De Girolamo.

You word that as if that is a bad thing.

He is one of the best strikers in the world right now, alright probably not in the top 5 but still world class and a player I really want to don an Arsenal shirt next year.

Not been hugely impressed with him when I've watched him, have to be honest. Not going to delve into the whole "world class" thing as people get quite heated over their interpretations of it but suffice to say it's pretty generous imo.

Also given that we will keep Giroud I would rather have a main striker who offers something different, rather than a similar (albeit better) player.

Best in the world? Mandzukic is just a rich man's Giroud. It's saying something when Bayern fans don't really rate him and couldn't care less if he was sold in the summer. Not saying he is shit but he isn't the striker that would massively improve us.

Alright, best in the world may or been an overstatement but he is still a quality striker and I think he is better than Giroud. Better finisher, better thinker, doesn't mind heading the ball, good movement.

I think now Bayern are back at the top of the pile they know they can attracted players such as Cavani, Falcao, Lewen so they will want them. Give me Madz over Giroud any day.

Southampton's Calum Chambers, 19, is being viewed by Arsenal as a possible replacement for Bacary Sagna, 31.

If our extensive scouting team, who travel to every corner of the globe, consider cleverly to be good enough then who are you to disagree ?   :barscarf:

(I hope) Cleverley isn't coming. :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

It's bullshit. Not even Wenger would buy such a one-dimesional no-mark would he? Would he? :suicide:

That article loses all credibility with its opening sentence. Can you spot the error?

Mandzukic is decent but we need to aim higher. We've got 100m sitting in the bank ffs. Throw some of that Falcao's way. Our fans deserve an absolute top notch striker.

Barcelona are set to make a £30m bid for Mesut Ozil this summer, a year after Arsenal paid Real Madrid £42m for the German midfielder.

And so it begins. Thanks to the spinelessness and greed of FIFA, we have to put up with yet another summer of rumours of these cnuts poaching our players. :banghead:
