THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

No. And no. Thank you. 8)

Gives me an idea for this season!

As well as the regular match day threads we always have there should also be an "Alternative To The Match Thread" so people can say what they are doing to avoid the mind numbing, groundhog day, car crash season that's to come.

Wasn't there someone on about unblocking their drain last season  (that wasn't a euphemism I presume 8) )
this could become more popular than the match day thread
Well already you've got silus at an air show, augie getting pissed up in Salou...... I might even have a go on porn hub for a bit.

The fringe thread is where it's going to be at until Le Fartpipe F's off :barscarf:
Set it up Rodders - I'll make it a sticky. (oo-er, missus!)

I'm not falling for that one again, as soon as I start a thread like that you'll be all over it with your AWOOGA vanity thread klaxon taking the piss 8)
It's up and running, Rodders....

And we are cleverly using Rodders and his drawer full of crunchy socks as bait. :D

Heard some ex Arsenal plank on the radio this morning saying we have a real chance at the title as out of all the top teams we are the most settled. The same "settled" team that couldn't win it for the last decade??
All the Manchester teams have done is waste money on big name players because they've unsettled their under performimg teams from last season. God forbid Giroud, Walcott, Ramsey and that lot become "unsettled"

I see Wenger has just recklessly blown another £2m on that Bolton kid..... one for the future I should imagine.

Don't be so ungrateful for all OGL has given us over the years, he has bought the 2 youngsters so he can shape them into top top players over his next 7 years in charge :barscarf:

Anyway Wenger said we would win the title in 3 years, and this is year 3, so looking forward to see how they are going to do it....

It could get much worse you know. At the moment we do have some top quality players who won't stay if the fans boo and the club is going in the wrong direction.
I mean who wants to play for a team when you get slaughtered by your own fans in many home games.
I'm not blaming the fans by the way last season was so dull because of the formation and the lack of form from many of our players.
It's not looking good at all but the club is becoming very rich or maybe making Kronke even richer.

How many exactly ?? As far as I am concerned they can all fcuk off cos not one of them has shown an ability to turn in quality performances on a consistant basis and especially against the big teams
Anyway let me suggest to you that the really top players (not the cheap imitation type) are interested in being successful more than they are worried about some booing from the fans

For me, we have two really top quality players; Ozil and Sanchez.

"Top quality" as in they would get into most big teams as starters. Our problem is because of the shit system, moribund manager, and the dearth of any other truly top quality players, those two cannot put in consistently high quality performances.

I've always said it; top quality players play better with other top quality players. 8)

Agree with you BUT, my point was that whether they stay or not is not gonna be the difference between us winning the league and being also rans AGAIN. As much as I love different aspects of both players, they are not Bergkamp, PV4 or TA6 and they will not put the team on their back and lead us to glory, so the world wont fall apart if they leave
