As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
it will be the same as ever - the squad will be just good to enough to get back into the top 4. This is why hardly anyone will be bought this summer as we don't need much more than we have already got to make this happen.
there has been no statement of intent about wanting to push on and win the league although it is doubtful that Wenger would be capable of mounting a title challenge even if we did buy another couple of world class players

Thats a good point, if you gave wenger last years chelsea squad....would he manage to mess it up or would those players have just ignored him and went on to win it regardless?

Define "best available" - was schweinstiger available ? Was schneiderlin ? Was depay, begovic or clyne ? People can argue that benteke (for example) had a buyout clause so there was nothing that the selling club could do, but the other players were picked out by their new club as players that they wanted to sign, and then they persued them aggresively until they got their man Of course some will point to the money of the likes of citeeh and the chavs and say that they can always entice a player to join them and a club to sell, but that ignores the victims who are much more aggressive in the transfer market than us, and please dont tell me that we couldnt match the transfer fee and wages that schweinstiger and schneiderlin or on at manure - ffs we have now given an average centre forward a wage increase which has probably lifted him into the top 50 paid players in world football
Aint no-one gonna convince me that reus isnt "available" for the right money. The same applies to carvalho

Ok "best available" that Wenger would buy i.e. club happy to sell, we could have £500 million in the bank and he'd never just wave it in front of even the likes of Dortmund for Reus or Lyon for Lacazette let alone try to take on the big boys, he got his fingers burnt trying to do that with Suarez
