Loved the post match comments from the skipper and the boss. None of this namby pamby "these things happen" bullshit, straight out saying we are given no protection from the Ref, we've had 3 of these in 5 years and teams target us.

These *word censored* and Andy Gray types are to blame for these types of injuries on us all that if you rough Arsenal up you can beat us comments

Am fed up with bullshit comments and excuses from *word censored* like gray about how centre halves are just not quick enough into the tackle thus causing incidents like this  I dont know if there was intent or not but I know a fcuking dangerous tackle when I see it and for that there is no excuse

Good to get three points but gutted for rambo , Kind of kills the win i guess.

And as someone has already pointed out it was good to see the team spirit is back , I thought the huddle at the end was good.

Fingers crossed for rambo , Hope it's not a real bad break.

I watched it again. Looks like fib and tib both. The way his leg flapped through the air after impact... poor guy. It wasn't an intentionally bad challenge though. Ramsey's run was shielded by one of our lads and shawcross stretched to sweep the ball away. If anything, Ramsey made it worse by tearing in at pace.

No one's fault really. Shawcross was reckless at worst but there was no intent for me.

Poor Ramsey, he was just hitting form too. :(

Maybe DB but lack of intent doesnt save a person from jail when charged with reckless driving does it ? Obviously I am not advocating jail but pro players know the difference between what is acceptable and what is not and a dangerous tackle like that should see the punishment it deserves and not a poxy 3 game ban

Can't enjoy this win one bit. The media is at fault for this rubbish notion of to beat Arsenal you have to kick the shit out of us just because twats like Bolton have had a little success doing that shit.
The referee should have handed out yellow cards early on and given us the clear penalty on Ramsey then this would never have happened.

Am so angry and also sad because I thought Ramsey would do a good job till the end of the season keeping the likes of Denilson out of the squad.

I am gutted for Ramsey, but honestly it was 50/50 in the air. It was not targetting the standing leg. DB10 is right. No I'm not being sarcastic.

DB, it's not about the individual my Irish brother. You play football regularly and appreciate more than most that things can "happen" during a physical sport. This is about an ethos, a pernicious and snide sanction for brutality that still pervades the game in this country. "He's flash - kick him" "He's fancy - break his leg" "THEY DON"T LIKE IT UP EM".

I agree augie. But there was a huge difference between what Taylor did with his *word censored* challenge over the top of the ball, giving Eddie's leg nowhere to go. Shawcross came from the side and tried to sweep the ball. It was Ramsey's pace that made it worse.

It comes down to how we (or the FA) define "reckless endangerment" I suppose. For me it's a poor tackle but not in the same category as Taylors by a long shot.

I think it was obvious that Shawcross was gutted when he saw what had happened. Taylor looked arrogant after his chop on Eddie.

I've watched it 5 or 6 times now and yes it is horrific but I honestly don't think Shawcross has gone in to injure Rambo.
