THE PROJOE TOTALLY POINTLESS TRANSFER RUMOUR THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Early announcement of Chamackh. Transfer rumours on arsenal.com. Wenger openly saying that we need to buy.... Could be a cynical ploy to get season tickets renewed, but if we get to August and the only signings are Chamackh and a promising 17 year old defender from Lens or some such place then they're setting themselves up!!

We'll see, but I honestly think that Buffon, Chamackh and Hangeland will be here in time for pre-season.....

Is it season ticket renewal time

Have to agree 100% with arseblog when he says that this transfer link thing on the official site should be scraped asap - fair enough we have one on here but there are a lot of kids visiting that site and seeing a rumour on there somehow gives credance to it  If they continue to claim that once we complete a signing they will be the first to announce it then this should stay away from these shady and bullshit transfer rumours

if the club has access to the manager why have the rumour section?

Club official: AW are you going to sign Buffon?

AW: No i believe he is world class, but also lacks the mental strengh of almunia.

Club official: AW are you going to sign Yaya Toure?

AW: No i watch him on trial, he seem to play a bit with the hand brake, and is also too tall and mobile to be a defensive midfielder!

According to wenger all you need to be a successful footballer is mental strength, no matter if your technically bollocks and can't trap a fucking football. Surely the most mentally strong people are those who have survived cancer. Lets get one of those in goal! Fuck it lets bring John Hartson back to put him up front with Bendtner. 8)

You learn something new every day.

"Our Transfer Linked page will feature some of the rumours doing the rounds in the media. Just remember to take them with a large pinch of salt..."

quote from pravda.com

Looks like they're laughing at the idea of us being linked with Buffon with their "large pinch of salt"...

As much as it seems to amuse them, I'm not as amused as they are. I'd rather they took the Buffon link seriously and actually TRY to sign him!!! :banghead: :banghead:

Do any other "top clubs" have a transfer rumour link on their official site.
I think it is an absolute fucking disgrace, especially when you consider the fact that we rarely fucking buy anyone.
The club are taking the fucking piss.

Its a bit like Bullseye.Instead of "here's what you could have won" its "here's what we could have signed" :banghead:

As for Ya Ya Toure. That would be the same Ya Ya who had a trial at Arsenal and was told he wasnt good enough by the Non Special One :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
