Fergie spouting shit about how United never get decisions in big games How many penalties have they got against us at OT in the past few years How many times have they had key decisions go their way this season including at the Bridge in CL

Well we certainly didn't miss him, if the result is anything to go by. Delighted he did not play and we won. I couldn't care less if we never see him again.
Have to disagree - thought we lacked that final ball he specializes in all day long. In think if United had gotten out of first gear at any point coulld easily have been opunished for that. We did well and held our nerve in the end certain and crdit is due to several players really - Ramsey obviously and Wilshere, Koscielny, Szczesny, and Djourou, and later Arshavin - and I'm sure others will name some others, but I wouldn't take too much from today other than sheer delight and making United suffer and maybe - just maybe - denying them the Premiership before its done.
Fair point about the final ball but in reality have we not missed that is so many games this season even when Fabregas has been playing? And as you say we can't take too much from today - although I am sure Wenger will trot out the usual comments about how close we are to the moaners and one last push next season will be enough.
I would agree on his form this year we might have missed him today less than would have a season or two or three earlier. I just think we still are too reliant on him to really oprovide that final ball in this team set up this way. I mean if as someone said this is our first eleven (plus Vermalen for Kos) next year I'm thinking the defence and Keeper would have to be excellent every match for us to be top four, and near-prfect every match for us to have a shot at winning..
Again don't forget that was hardly the best United team of the last 20 years we were facing and they were hardly playing at top level and still before Ramsey's goal looked more likely to score first despite just sitting back all day.
I think we can survive if Cesc goes and maybe even prosper but its all down to what we do with the money available already plus any we get from his sale, and then how we set this team up. I might spend more on that defensive central midfielder and as much on a quality wide man and go back to 4-4-2 as on the needed central defender. Of course if we wnt for Moussa Sissoko not only could he the new Vieira in a new 4-4-2, but our Essien in our 4-3-3.

Agree with much of this. Despite all the possession we actually created only a few chances in the game overall. As for the moaners, again correct to say they are not the best we have seen - I would say the weakest we have seen in 20 years. Which makes it all the more frustrating because with just a bit of investment in the team we could have achieved so much more. Not good enough

Ridiculous comment. Cesc is a quality player & you don't just get rid of quality players because someone else had a good game in his place. Strength in depth is an issue at The Arsenal & anyone who thinks we'd be better off without Cesc is retarded in my opinion.
Good afternoon in the sun anyway, Ramsey was indeed excellent. Pleased he got the goal. Utd very poor, despite help from Chris Foy. As has been said before this league really was their for the taking this year if only we'd shown a bit of ambition in the summer/january.

That's all to heep pressure on the ref for the chelsea game. Just wait for them to get a decision next week now.

Exactly this! Its precisely why Blatter doesnt want technology in football, how else will he receive brown envelopes?

Outsung by us humble lads in the CE upper
They should be ashamed
They seemed to be directing most of their chants at CE upper as they were leaving, so you obviously got under their skin !
What I will never understand though is the morons among my fellow lower tier clockenders who can't think of anything better to sing when we are beating top of the table Utd than....."stand up if you hate Tottenham" !
