Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

By the way does anybody else think that signing the unsettled heitinga from everton for the DM position would be a good shout ? I know it is a pie in the sky suggestion but then again isnt most of this thread

Great shout, like Jones he is two players in one as can play in mf or at the back and would certainly add some bite to our bunch of pussies, he would be perfect, we need some muscle.

I'ld prefer Downing if we were going for a wide player. People slate him but he's a wonderful player, stick to the wing, can cross, takes players on. As someone mentioned Young was getting pelters from Villa fans the last few years for doing fuck all for long periods of seasons.

Young seems another of what we've got. In fact I would say Nasri is a better player than him. Of course he'ld be a nice addition, but as I say, I'ld actually prefer Downing.

Problem is, for me at least, that downing is very one paced and is also very one footed where as young has some pace about him and is useful with both feet 8)

He can play with both, whether he's useful with them is up for debate

Jason Roberts' official twitter follows Chris Samba's official and vice versa. There is a fake Samba one (chris_samba4) but ChrisSamba4 is the official one according to twitter. The tweets posted are from what Twitter recognizes as the players official twitter.

what i posted was from the real one

Well I for one hope its true, he will improve us at set pieces at the back and up top, an area we seriously lack in.

Be nice to have Big Chris on board.

I've always wanted an Arsenal player called Big Chris.

He's actually onyl a year older than Cahill.

I agree, he has what we lack, we need a contrast of styles in a partnership not identical types.

If he comes he will win the doubters over in weeks.
