He wasn't. He was in hospital on Monday for the examination of his injury.SammyDroppedHisShorts wrote:Latest news
Goetze WAS in London on Monday and did meet with representatives of the club. A fee HAS been discussed between the two clubs AND all going well he will sign on Tuesday January 3rd for a fee in the region of 28 million

As much as Sammy's conviction that we're gonna sign Goetze amuses me why would Goetze come to a London hospital? Don't you have any in Germany?GermanBlue wrote:He wasn't. He was in hospital on Monday for the examination of his injury.SammyDroppedHisShorts wrote:Latest news

Sorry misunderstood. Thought you meant he was in London but at a hospital instead of signing for us.GermanBlue wrote:Chips and Chocolate wrote:As much as Sammy's conviction that we're gonna sign Goetze amuses me why would Goetze come to a London hospital? Don't you have any in Germany?![]()

He was probably in a London hospital with a compass point postcode, just one out in the suburbs.

Dario isn't that old too mate, he just turned 29.brazilianGOONER wrote:isn't lahm like a thousand years old?MegaGooner wrote:If we gonna buy another German player, I would rather buy Phillip Lahm..he can cover both fullback positions and always look dangerous on the pitch.
I must admit, the little I've seen of Goetze he has impressed me though.
if we're supposed to sign fucking good and underrated (and old as fuck) fullbacks, i'd go for dario srna
Anyways, don't really know how this thread got so long as Dortmund has no reason to sell now a bloke that will be worth much more after he plays the Euros.

TBH I am actually starting to think he may join us...
1) Real/Barca/City will not offer him a starting place. At Arsenal he would be likely get an opportunity to shine straight away
2) No chance he will move to Bayern
3) He would have to be crazy to join the circus that is Chelski.
Maybe Wenger finally realised he lost out recently (Mata etc) not because of £££, but because of a lack of ambition in other transfer dealings. Maybe he finally realizes we needs to show some muscle in the transfer market to once again make Arsenal the club every player dreams of playing for.
One signing in the shape of Gotze could potentially open the door for others...
One can only dream

Am beginning to feel sorry for you now sammy - there is such a lack of belief in your predictions that some are beginning to mock (in a just having a laff way of course) this story. I blame wenger cos such is his shite performance and penny pinching history in the transfer market that it is totally understandable that paying 28m seems unrealistic under this current regime

Btw is that 28m in sterling or euro's ?
Yep, he's on his way.
Together with Chris Samba and Gary Cahill that have been at the training ground now for four months, Eden Hazard's still at the airport and as we speak David Villa is hailing a cab and is on his way to Gazidis' country retreat.
I don't know who revels more in self-harm - the GIC or those that think we'll sign a £20m+ player

That's the day I - and most people- go back to work after the Xmas holidays, so it'll be a nice little boost
