I watched a stream and it was first class quality. Wiziwig.tv Great picture.

As for the dropping of Giroud. The 6-1 result tells me it was a good enough decision. I complain enough about the :censored: Wenger without complaining when we win 6-1. :barscarf:

At no stage of this week did I expect any other outcome from todays game other than a home win so for me the 6-1 win doesnt justify dropping him unless you are claiming that we would have dropped points if giroud had of started ? I am trying to think of the bigger picture knowing that down the line we are going to need a confident giroud who is scoring regularly and we wont have that if he doesnt break his duck shortly. After having a week that consisted of french fans booing him, today was a day that wenger should have put an arm around his shoulders and given him a boost in confidence instead of dropping him especially when so many are already writing him off

Well that was somewhat better than the last home game. But was anyone else start thinking of a 4-4 early in the 2nd half? Lambert had a great chance to make it 4-2 and with over half an hour to go who knows …

Anyway forget that, Im loving watching Cazorla at the moment and him and Arteta are looking class. Cazorla is one of those players you just want on the ball all the time.

Southamptons keeper was shite to be fair but at least we were more ruthless than we’ve often been in recent seasons and actually took some shots and had players following in. Still a bit of overplaying at times too though.

Not getting carried away yet but Im not dreading the next 2 games as much as I was when the transfer window closed. We've done this thrashing teams in the sunshine thing before though and it hasnt led to anything meaningful but today was as enjoyable as its gonna get under this tyrannical regime :D

One other thing … did anyone else who was there today think the PA was louder than ever? I’m in Block 16 and it was totally unbearable! I never bother leaving my seat at half time because I refuse to spend money in the clubs bars and on their food but the noise really fcuks me off because you just cant talk to anyone around you.

I’m just about old enough to remember the marching band and while I wouldn’t want that back I would rather stand in silence than be bombarded with a load of shite music and tedious dedications. What is the point of it? What does it add? I bet they don’t have that crap pumped into the diamond club so why should we suffer it! :banghead:

No. I know Southampton are keek. And like you I expected a win no-matter who played. But what I did not expect was such an emphatic, dominating performance coupled with 6 goals.
You know as well as I do that we have a history of dominating such games then sneaking a 1-1.
I'm not going to question Wenger this time especially as I know so little about Giroud., A good performance against a poor side? Yes The difference this time? We always looked like we'd win it and 6 good goals.

i've just watched the full replay of the game - our midfield was outstanding today. They made a nice four in front of the backs when saints had the ball, but provided the passes and momentum for the goals - forehead technically had a couple of assists as well as his two goals, and Carzola was involved in two as well.

Arteta and Cazorla made some great passes throughout the game.

Ramsay showed great skill for his goal then started showboating again and blasting it over or giving the ball away, similarly nice cool finish by Theo but wasted two chances to put Giroud and Ox in with poor crosses. :banghead:

Pers' positioning was excellent and he looked fecked at the end, Gibbs worked his socks off and Jenks did okay as a stand in - i can take him or leave him. Oddly apart from the run forward and his chance, i don't remember TV being involved in anything much.

a very good point made at the end by the commentators - we had a nice easy game then we go to Montpelier. City had a really tough game up at stoke, then play against Real Madrid...so it's a great week to play city.

great game great result. i thought gibbs had another great game at left 'back', the defence looked sound again and our midfield was as dominant as it could've been. podolski and cazorla are just class.

i moaned a bit when i found out forehead would be our striker (so that's what we save money in the window for, a shite winger who has scoreophobia as first choice striker in the PL?) but when the guy scored a brace i had to accept it was good for him and for the team. 6-1 is a good result in the PL no matter what team against, so thank you Arsenal for a good start to the weekend :barscarf: :barscarf:

Just home from the game. A very enjoyable afternoon. Carzola incredible. Didn't hear anyone singing YNWA and can't imagine why any Arsenal fan would, surely "Justice For The 96" would have been a much more likely bet. Think the rumour started on twitter but didn't actually happen.

Great result and good for our goal difference come the end of the season   :?

Anyway when I seen the team announced I was dissapointed Giroud was not playing as I thought this was a great opportunity for him. He will get more chances in the next few weeks with a run of two games a week. I was surprised at Gervinho playing up front but was glad it was not Pod. I think Pod adds to our midfield with his work rate and discipline and am loving him on the left. Someone mentioned earlier we are looking more direct and I agree. Cazorla Pod and Ox are looking more direct instead of trying to walk the ball into the net.

Gibbs and Jenks are looking good and today will do their confidence the world of good. Arteta and Caz were class again :barscarf:
Hopefully Szczesny gets his shit together and it was just cobwebs today.
Next matches will tell us a lot more. Montpellier followed by City and Chelsea will test us and will show us how good this team are. Looking good and a good day at the office.

clockender1. computer says no mate. Mebbe you're hard of seeing, but Ramsey had a shot at goal that was converted mate. Even on replay. Anyway we got 3 points and mashed up the mighty saints. :barscarf:
