As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Yes, but we HAVE been in their position for the past EIGHT SEASONS!!!
We had the game won - 10 mins to go and we BLOW IT !!!.

you mean apart from being an inch away from the goal of the season out of nothing, right ?
do you realise how stupid that statment is, what in the fucking world is the good in that? he even fucked up the chance before ozil scored, complete air kick
he created something almost out of nothing. he he almost bailed us out. and you don't know if Ozil didn't shout 'mine' or 'leave it.
Giroud absolutely tried to score. He swung a leg at it and did a total air shot. A shocking miss. Just lucky Ozil was there to connect.
For some reason we seem inhibited in the bigger games, and it's obviously a blow not to take 3pts here with chavs and citeh up next. Feels like a missed opportunity.
Giroud was quiet (but had little service) and Ramsey & Cazorla were poor. In fact Santi just hasn't looked himself all season... hopefully his form picks up with more games under his belt.
Frustrated but Everton played well and deserved a point. Could do with a decent result vs. chavs and/or citeh to get the momentum going again, as I fear 3 poor results in a row (in the league) could really dent belief in the players... and cause meltdown on here as you get the feeling many fans are just waiting to get their claws into the team again
Arsenal in "didn't show up against top team" shocker. Who'd have thought it ?
But yet "why on earth can we not win the fcuking league ?"

We will see how many people are calling that after this run of 1 point from 9 in the 3 league games before Christmas
I was initially going to defend Gibbs on this post but I watched the goal a few more times and changed my mind. Gibbs couldn't rush out straight to Deulofeu because he had an option wide to lay the ball off down to the endline. However, when Deu pushes the ball to the right and gets even closer to goal it won't do them any good to lay the ball off wider anymore SO Gibbs should have went all in for the tackle in that instance instead of still trying to contain him.
As for the shot....most players won't even go for goal in that instance, and if they do it will either be right at the keeper or at the near post where the keeper will have a good chance as well. Deulofeu blasted it far post and put his laces all the way through it to put some nice bend and dip on it. So, can't say I would put any place on Szczesney.
Many people were saying that our run after losing at home to Dottmund would be disastrous. We did very well. I haven't been here before. I'm giving this team a clean slate with none of my negativity from previous disappointments clouding expectations. I'll settle for competing, genuinely competing right down to May. Looking forward to seeing how this team fares!
I thought we probably had the better chances but that Everton were marginally better than us today so while I'm disappointed not to win it wasn't a bad point.
If only Giroud hadn't hit the woodwork late on, small margins.

its all about marginal gains....
wont win the league without 1 20-25 gol a season player, regardless of the quality of the midfield. im pro giroud but we need a quality alternative.
Mixed feelings. Disappointed to drop points from a winning position but 1 is better than none I guess.
As has been said, we seem to have it in our heads when the pressure's on and we need to pull out a result in a big game. For the first 30 minutes we looked totally overawed, at home to Everton They had the freedom of our midfield, able to waltz through freely as they liked, we couldn't keep the ball (that goes for most of the game not just the first 30).
Onwards & upwards, the pressure's really on now. Gotta get something from the next two league games, i'm not hopeful.
re falcao i thought hollandes tax thing was going to hit footballers hard. i dont think falcao is at monaco longterm. ultimately he will move to a top Club once he has enough benjamins

Had ozil shouted either of those things it would've been a free kick to everton

By the letter of the law, yes, but I can't say I recall that ever happening in the Premier League before?
It happens in pub leagues and at grass roots because there's no crowd to drown our the players, but I think having 60,000 fans making noise + Ozil's German accent + the short distance between Ozil/Giroud + large distance between Ozil/referee, I'd say it would take a very very brave ref (and perhaps one with very good hearing!) to rule out a goal like that for shouting "leave it" to the bloke next to him
But yes, by the letter of the law you can't say "mine" or "leave it". That's true.
anyway i think he did okay today. i thought that when we picked up the pace we looked good.
rambo was almost in, Giroud got in twice ( one just offside) and moves broke down due to slack passing when we had them under the cosh - that jenko over hit pass to santi was a shocker, we had three on the edge of the box and two in the middle, any decent pass and santi puts it back it in for another decent chance.
they also have the best defence in the league don't they ?

When you're playing football for hours every day I imagine players use another term as second nature.
At my old club (and other teams in the league) everybody shouted "Jacks it" or "Jacks" when they wanted somebody to dummy it or let it run, don't know if this is a real 'thing' or just a weird thing we did
