How can anyone who make savage look like a prize numpty come across as a tit ??!!!!!

You sure that you have the same BBC as we do in Ireland !

Not disagreeing with him putting savage in his place at all but I was talking merely in general terms - just watch and compare his attitude/enthusiasm to seedorf, cannavaro, PV4 and poyet and tell me who looks more interested in being there, and who is doing a better job. Take away our AFC bias and you will have a different opinion on his attitude

Henry is a bit of a strange one - obviously have a massive affinity towards the bloke and in brief flashes his somewhat aloof nature is palatable and he has a decent bit of banter with the other pundits/players.

But if he's on your screen for hours every other day or whatever I imagine he could begin to grind on you pretty quickly.

Also Ferdinand is predictably both bland and inarticulate but he made me laugh yesterday when Vialli said there was no pressure playing in the PL and when Henry said there was plenty of pressure fighting for the title Ferdinand chimed up with "yeah but Vialli was never fighting for titles at Chelsea was he"

Good God how fucking stupid was Jonathon Pearce about Frances' second goal.?.. Nothing will prove goal line technology works better than that goal, ball hits post doesn't cross line NO GOAL, keeper fumbles rebound ball crosses line GOAL...two incidents within moments of each other both called correctly..End of.. Think Martin Keown was about to explain it but either knew he was on a loser or didn't want to embarrass Pearce further.

Pat Nevin on BBC live text was also insistent that his naked eye was superior to the goal-line technology. Thought having that technology would shut clueless whinging wankers like him up about the issue but apparently not.

For those interested, a compilation of Campbell's performance vs Uruguay:

Uruguay simply couldn't live with him. Terrorized them all game, they had to resort to kicking him in the end. :barscarf:

He's a very good player and appears mature beyond his years. Confident, skillful and leading the line at his age and trouncing Uruguay is very impressive. Will be watching intently in the next few games. I would be very happy for him to rejoin our squad.
Great first touch, some good one on one moves, happy to shoot from distance, pass etc - good stuff. I remember after watching him at junior level and then we signed him I thought we've got a goodun here.

Not in the compilation but there was a moment when he was telling his center backs to fuck off back to their positions as they were taking a short corner to waste valuable minutes which particularly impressed me; spoke volumes for his maturity and leadership qualities.

Reminds me of Sturridge in his style of play.

Thank God he doesn't celebrate like that c*nt...

Here's to hoping Ozil has a strong game against Portugal; I want him to show up on the worlds biggest stage and silence his detractors.

Savage is an arsehole, but I have to say, Henry as a pundit, has been embarrassing.

Possible dominance for years to come, are you absolutely insane? The attacking experiment seemed to work generally and as I said afterwards another year or two building their side around that fluid basis could do England the world of good.

But how you can think the likes of Sterling, Sturridge and Welbeck can propel England to sustained dominance is beyond me. Look at the player pools the likes of Spain, Germany and Argentina are picking from -England's defence and central midfield is horrendously weak and those young attacking players have to be regarded as average on the world stage.

As I said on another thread, uruguay were my outside bet but a liverpool buddy of mine totally dismissed that possibility - he argued that their defence was so shit that one of their centre backs (coates) couldnt get a game with the victims and that they (liverpool) had a shite defence, and the other centre back was a centre back from west brom so inessence their defence couldnt be good and he might have a point. I guess time will tell on whether campbell is good enough or not although playing against italy and engerlands suspect defences wont give a definitive answer idea

Agreed that Ingerland did ok, and on another night might have gotten a result. Also agree that they are hindered by the media still picking Stevie MEEEE and GrannyMolester when one is waaaaay past it and the other has never delivered near enough at interlull level. But the other thing that always strikes me is that Ingerland don't retain the ball well the way Italy mostly do, Germany do, and Spain (used to! ). Ingerland get posession and want to move forward quickly at times when they should look to calm it down and draw the oppo out, and then lose posession too often and too cheaply. It's as if they are trying to recreate the PL on the interlull stage. Now, I love the PL, but that is not the way to win interlull matches. Ball retension and patience are everything. MEEEE spraying 60 yard hit-and-hopes will never win a world cup I'm afraid. Also, Henderson and Johnson and Welbeck are just not interlull level players. Nowhere near.

Even though Sturridge's goal celebration makes me want to puke (and his walking on the pitch praying or whatever the fuck the two pointing fingers is about makes me want to shit and puke), and the fact that Sterling is a diving fuckpig, I have to admit that without odious cuntlungs like Cashley, Fat Fwank and ChavTerry on the pitch, I find it easier to not hate the current Ingerland side. If they could drop GrannyMolester and MEEEE then they would actually be likeable!

I also am quite stunned that ANY fucking TV channel would pay Robbie Savage for his views on football, a game he was rubbish at. WTF? His agent must be able to suck start a jet through a hundred yards of garden hose... :|
