Fucking sell him and use the money to buy James Milner
think people are just frustrated that our record ever signing isnt really a game winner. hes just a very nice player, but AFC arent really in a postiion to be spending 42million on very nice players.

its a different player to that was at real madrid, mourinho used him correctly, never played 90 minutes, wenger plays him to death and out of position.

1. Per Mertesacker should never play for Arsenal again after that first leg
2. That "performance" at home to Monaco was an absolute fucking Disgrace and I've never seen a performance more shocking, clueless, lazy and arrogant.
3. Tactically, as long as Arsene a Wenger remains manager of Arsenal, we will continue to get thrashed in a single leg of the CL.
4. Olivier Giroud isn't good enough to be first choice and never will be. The big players perform in big games. Aguero gets one chance v Barca and it's in the bank of the net. Lewandowski got 4 chances v Madrid and scored 4 goals. Suarez got 2 chances at Citeh and scored twice. Giroud got 5 clear chances v Monaco and missed them all, never finding the target.
5. The absolute lack of on-pitch leadership is shocking. When you need someone to grab a game by the scruff of the neck, who rallies the troops? Cazorla? Coquelin? Don't make me bloody laugh! :banghead:
agree, particularly about Per and Giroud. As a fan I love them, but they are not the absolute top quality you need to get to the very top. theres a reason for their relatively low transfer fees and signing from mediocre teams.

Ozil is a confirmed fraud. Played marginally better in the 2nd half but gave the ball away too much as usual. Flog him in the summer for whatever you can get for him.

Sanchez, another big game bottler. Not surprising Barca got rid.

This is the worst possible result. The 2-0 was nailed on and now it gives Wenger another lifeline for a 'spirited performance.'

I'd agree with that, i think hes a good player who you add to a great team and he'll do well, doesn't suit being a key player in a side though

Ozil is frustrating as fuck....has many decent games but never any that he runs and makes the difference. Obviously a very good player, but doesn't influence games enough when needed. I want to love him but he continues to frustrate when he should step up and dominate games and make the difference. Tonight summed him up for me...not a bad performance but not a match winning one either.

I agree with you..Sanchez was our worst player, and i am not having a go at him...
I must have been watching a different game. Ozil consistently misplaced his passes tonight but agree he was marginally better than Sanchez, who just ran into defenders. The real frustrating thing tonight was that other than the Ozil free kick I don't recall a single shot from outside the box or the edge. Tippy tappy trying to thread it through a tightly packed 4-4-2 rather than using width. I disagree with the view that we lost it in the first leg - Monaco were so poor tonight and invited us on to them - the failure was not unpicking them tonight, we are supposed to be good enough to do it but our "world class" players couldn't cut it. :banghead:

Sadly our so called world class players bottled it Ozil and Sanchez they just don't turn up for the BIG games, Monaco were there for the taking tonight and we blew it, never mind losing the first game, we could or should have won 4-5 0, Ozil swapping his shirt at half time WTF is that about?? I know the ref was a right wanker but we still had the chances but didn't put them away. :(

Giroud missing chances in the first leg cost us but to be fair if you can keep a clean sheet then you only need 1 goal. Conceding the goals with Sunday league defending fucked us over

Walcott should start packing his bags after that cameo. Useless, I won't miss him after this summer and I'll look forward to listening to another set of fans get frustrated over him.
