I could understand if we went had a real chance to score and had players streaming forward before they nicked the ball.

But we didn't - our attack completely ran out of steam and was reduced to walking pace. Far too many men in front of the ball, compounded by one of our centre backs getting stranded in the opposition half and then lunging in and the other then not taking the most obvious booking in history.
