Last night on BT they played re-runs of previous finals. I saw from 2000 to 2005.

What was really interesting to see was the 3 successive finals we played between 2001 and 2003. Never seen them back to back like that. And what struck me was how fucking well we played in all 3 games when so often finals are tight and dull affairs.

Another thing was the criticism Henry has had over the years about bottling finals. I've always thought that was harsh ... after last night I think it complete bollocks. He played really well in those games. Really fucking well. Far better than most strikers will in a final. The final he missed in 2005 we were awful.

IMO the reason Henry didnt score was a mixture of bad luck, bad refereeing, great goalkeeping and just once or twice bad finishing. Hardly bottling it FFS :banghead: Remember that Bergkamp never scored in a final either. Between them they could have had double figures in those 3 finals.

Obviously I have the full games to watch but not highlights. I wish I had recorded it. Great days, great stadium, great players and great memories. Really enjoyed it.

So harsh :) 8)

I'll give you Paris ... and maybe Copenhagen in 2000 when he missed that point blank header for a golden goal.

The others I don't think you can play that well if you're bottling it and I think he contributed massively to the two wins. If it wasnt for two handballs from Henchoz (sp?) and a Southamton player pulling his shirt off him 20 seconds into the 2003 final he would scored.

We'll have to agree to disagree :barscarf:

Gullit and Keown were just asked by Dan twatface who would win today, gull it said "Chelsea " and Keown said "he's probably right but now I'm here I've got to say come on Arsene". I rewound 3 times to make sure. Says it all really

It's all about MONEY mate...Nothing more, nothing less. The game will be viewed worldwide and the time change allows for all kinds of advertising to be done by the various companies/tv channels....

Think about the sound a till makes: "KERRRRCHHHINGGG" and you will have a much clearer understanding.

A.F.C used to mean Arsenal Football Club. Now?? to the owner and many other 'interested parties' it means Arsenal Franchise Company.
