That was a good win tonight. Dippers dropping points and us turning it on when it mattered. We're chasing them down, we'll be clear by mid January if not earlier.
Anything happens Salah and they’ll drop faster than Jordan’s knickers.

Always lovely to best that lot, but you’d all be disappointed if I didn’t raise a few concerns.

I was out last night, so only saw the brief MOTD highlights and read this match thread. Seems the first half was poor and it’s worrying that we create few clear chances from open play. It’s great to have this seriously effective danger from set pieces, particularly after years of Wenger seeing a set piece as merely a way to restart the game, but I’ve been thinking for a while that if you remove our goals from corners, we’d be properly struggling. We’re not Wimbledon ffs and corners should be an addition to our threat, not the main focus.

It reflects our chronic lack of a decent striker…bad 1on1 miss from Havertz and he’s slated on this thread…and also a quality centre mid, a game changer as DB refers to in the thread. I’m happy to have Rice at the club, but he was never going to be the game changer that we lack. It’s a joke that Partey is still here and as piss poor as he is, it says a lot the he’s keeping Merino out of the side. Then there’s the Zinchenko fiasco.

I know I’m pouring cold water on a good win against the Mancs, but there’s still genuine issues that remain unaddressed. They’ll stop us finishing above City and Liverpool. Hope I’m wrong.

I echo this ^^ it felt good waking up this morning knowing we beat those assholes.

I might've texted my Utd guy at work late last night. For some reason he seems a tad upset this morning. Strange, maybe he didn't sleep well, who knows. :D

Partey has been pretty good this season to be honest. Certainly better than Rice overall.
I think we have to face the fact that many teams will come to the Emirates and try to stop us rather than 'play football'. Utd were doing it last night, I can't remember many times that United caused us virtually no problem whatsoever!

I don't accept the criticism we're getting regarding corners, they are part of the game, why are people moaning? I see defenders holding on to opponents all the time in the area, no pundit mentions it, but if an Arsenal player has a block on someone it's unfair, cheating, shameful etc etc etc .
Fuck 'em all, they all hate Arsenal and desperately want us to fail, I'd love it if we rack up 20 goals plus from corners this season, just to fuck Neville and the other Sly Sports kunts off.

Titles coming home boys!! :barscarf: :barscarf:

Hilarious how pundits and other fans are losing their shit over how we're playing. Scored 119 goals since the start of last season (I think), with 22 being corners.

Anyone would think the idea of a corner is to do fuck all with it.

Loving all the moaning from when we'd try and walk it in, not having a Plan and being a soft touch, to this.

Reminds me of GG early years, especially the league championship wins when we'd play some fantastic free flowing football (which got forgotten about after his latter years) but mixed it up on set plays too

I'm sure George would be loving watching the game last night too 8) :barscarf:

Just to be clear about my comment a few posts above. I didn’t realise that we’re being criticised for our successful corner routines. That’s ridiculous and I’m all for having an effective threat. My point is that goals from corners should be an added advantage to goals scored from open play, where in my opinion, we look less potent than in the previous two seasons.

On another note, if pundits and journos are crying about our corner routines and beefing about blocks and nudges etc, then expect to see refs start blowing up for the most innocuous of contact. Tossers.

That's all it is at the end of the day, isn't it? The pathetic cûnts in the media hate us being successful and they will always try and stop us from doing so by inventing a narrative that what we're doing is unfair or underhanded or whatever bollox they can come up with. It was the same all those years ago with lucky Arsenal then boring Arsenal then out of control Arsenal then foreign Arsenal and now this fucking laughably bitter shit. All they are trying to do is get inside the ref's heads and pressurise them into blowing for a free-kick when we next have a corner. It is nothing short of shameful, pitiful bitterness. We've identified a way to be a threat, we're seeing it work so well time and time again and they don't like it because they hate us.
When you consider that not a single one of the media cûnts ever said a word about Ferguescum's manipulation of referees or his teams' dirty thug behaviour or horrendous abuse of referees for decades or the dippers years of hoofing long balls from the back and sticking everyone behind the ball week in and week out, it's just nothing more than hypocritical bollox that isn't worth bothering about. It's designed to get a reaction and its fucking great because all it does is galvanise us. We fucking love a media agenda against us, it means we win league titles. Fucking bring it on.

Gotta be honest, I would not be surprised to see some kind of fundamental rule change being implemented next season in relation to corners.

Players have been up to various levels of shithousery at corners for literally decades and no one gave a shit or ever even mentioned it. Now we have it refined to a fine art, but not doing anything worse than anyone else has done previously, it is now suddenly "cheating" and "dark arts" etc.

Absolutely. You watch our routines and you'll see slight blocks and the odd nudge, but nothing over the top and certainly nothing that you don't see from every team. In fact, what you don't see from us is the blatant wrestling to the ground that happens all the time and is rarely punished.

I've always tried to avoid the "anti Arsenal" conspiracy theories, but it's becoming difficult to do so. I'm expecting a reaction from the refs when we take corners in coming matches.
