The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Someone should inform Le old fool that his board are asking for almost £300 to sit in club level for the Liverpool game.
I will bet my b***ocks he wont go bitching about that in front of the press.
Struggling to recall what a decent seat cost in the final season at Highbury.... £60?

I paid £75 for a ticket in the East Upper against Newcastle on the opening weekend of the last season at Highbury.

Apart from van Persie's late goal a memory I have from that game was a bloke a bit further down the row from me wth a hamper and drinks in the seat next to him!

Of my many reasons for disliking Wenger, his comments on ticket prices are up there near the top. He was the only manager, of the 20 in the league to defend high ticket prices last season, which showed zero empathy for fans, who were being priced out of supporting their team.

It's scandalous. Our club has been gentrified out of all recognition.

TOF clearly thinks that real fans are peasants, who are worth less concern than the shit on his shoes and don't deserve to see his team of weaklings pass sideways all afternoon and pay through the nose for the pleasure.

Wenger , Wiggy , Gazidisbeelzebub and the board are all C.U.N.T.S.

Don't know why people are so against Jonny Evans signing, we could do a lot worse

You just made me cry  I've also lived through Ure, Blockley, Caesar and Linegan (who we grew to love when he scored the winner in the FA cup final),

Looks like Jose even shows Wenger up from a business perspective as well. Lands Ibrahimovic on a free then the club 75m worth of shirts in a week!!! That's his wages sorted and a good chunk of Pogba's fee.
Wenger is completely out of touch and is now both a football and business liability.

Unfortunately wenger seems fixated on value in the market place at a time where we need quality to take us up a level. Qualitys costs big nowadays and watching wenger quibble publicly over the price of the elite is a bit like watching your nan groan over the price of a sherbert dib dab. As much as giroud is berated by many were surely talking around the 50 mill mark to upgrade on him and even then how many additional goals that equates to over the course of a season remains to be seen.

Ian Ure was OK - well almost !!. He could tackle but was in trouble when asked to use the ball and find one of our players. Still better than Feckin Evans !! :barscarf: :barscarf:

I thought Linegan was a decent player but he suffered because there were better players than him for the position and there was always that comparison.. When he got decent runs in the team through injuries he was OK..

And that unfortunately is exactly the way Wenger sees it...£50m for an extra few goals? No financial sense. But the point is that the extra few goals could turn losses into draws and draws into wins which ultimately can bring you a title. In his eyes though it ain't worth it :banghead:
