As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Seriously I don't even care that much anymore. The club doesn't take winning the title seriously, why should we?
Be sure that wherever Arsenal finishes this year, be it 4th, 5th, 6th or 12th, Wenger will claim it as a blip (we finished 4th,3rd,2nd before this season!!!!) and all will be well, and we'll finally splash out next summer to secure a comfortable Top 4 next year.
The way the club sees things, the likes of Real, Barcelona, Utd, Bayern are insurmountable in terms of onfield and off field success without significant and consistent player investment - so sod that.
The space bowl is full with enough wallets that A) don't care that New Arsenal will never compete with the biggest teams and B) those that are so deluded they believe that Rob Holding and Theo Walcott will one day triumph against Real Madrid in CL final (if they just keep the faith).
So Sod investment. And for us much as I hold Wenger responsible for the awful tactics and transfer market nightmares of recent seasons, don't dream that changing manager is the answer to all the problems - we won't be competing in another CL final until Kroenke is gone and we get ambitious people running the club, because the whole set up promotes on pitch complacency. Sadly by the time that day comes, the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham will have leapfrogged us and we'll be a former big team playing in a soulless, quarter empty stadium.
"We lack experience and physicality " paraphrasing there from Wenger's interview... On the fans booing, "it is part of it but we have shown in the past we have the mental strength to deal with it" There you have it, no panic and no responsibility
I believe that a club, despite all the money, is as well about identity. Identity is about values. And values have been carried through generations. It is about the chairman, the manager or players who stay for a long time. I hope that will always be the case. Just spending the money or sacking the manager, football has to be bigger than that
Wenger "staying loyal" to Arsenal on 8 million a year rather than risk getting the boot after a season at Madrid brings a tear to the eye, as does ten years of Bendtner/Walcott/Diaby etc on monstrous wages, the most expensive tickets in world football, and that stupid redesigned badge and rather soulless stadium.

Interesting how it's now just accepted that the fans think his teams are subpar/not up to the job. No big deal basically, What a strange state of affairs.

Can you believe he said we were on an unbeaten run and now its ended????
He must know, deep down... end of the line is looming.
It isn't though. Like always, he will twist the mediocre into success. So when we are 20 points behind the eventual title winners, he will talk about consistency, that we finished in a VT position. There are plenty of fans willing to buy into that scenario as success. Wenger has zero plans to walk away, and silent Stan has zero plans to sack him, so expecting this season to be any different, is wishful thinking. The only way he might consider leaving, is if the atmosphere at the Emirates becomes poisonous, but we have far too many spineless/passive fans, for that to happen.
It's pathetic. Lack of experience? Jesus fucking Christ. How many times have we heard that over the last 12 years? Well, go out and fucking do something about it, toujours incompetent *word censored*. The prick has a fucking excuse for everything. Honestly, just do everyone a favour and fucking fuck off.
Just to put it all into its rightfully shit context, if the club had any ambition, today would have been the first game of Pep Guardiola's time as Arsenal manager. Just think about that.

And....... "Some players are not ready for 90 minutes of football"
Well alrighty then.
What an odd state of affairs over at the Emirates.Bordering on bizarre.

I saw a guy the other day calling a Wenger critic an idiot, countering that we beat Leicester home & away and finished 2nd overall. That is the loser mentality he has ingrained into his disciples.
Has Wenger blamed the new pre-season traveling yet?
Since we started visiting other countries for commercial reasons, we've not won an opening day fixture. I'm not giving him and excuse, I'm just waiting for it.
It's poor poor planning to not have all your players back on time for start of the season.
All his ego and ridiculous decisions, no tactical awareness, no efficient use of substitutions, reluctance to spend any money, no preparation for the season or individual games, retaining shit players on huge salaries, no team talks or motivational speeches, huge ego that does not make him address glaring issues ...this is the season it all comes crumbling down.....and he is exposed
Wenger saying his future depends on this season is just saying " judge me in May", but worded differently.
He thinks he's so fucking clever that we won't notice he's trying to play us again, the mad basted.
Anyway, it don't matter. I've said it before but I'll say it again....
Just rejoice and be happy. This is his last season. He won't hurt us any more after May 2017. We just have to take it on the chin that he's too arrogant, greedy and selfish to do the right thing and stand down before then.
The question I have is, what are we actually playing for? There is 37 games to go, so we could win the league, but there are too many problems with this fucked up manager, to ever have a real chance, so what's the point. I wouldn't mind seeing things go as bad as the start to the 2011/2012 season. Unlike back then, he wouldn't even have the excuse of players leaving. Alternatively, we win against Leicester next week, and all our problems are swept under the rug, until the next fuck up.
