THE WENGER THREAD
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
This is a direct quote form Wenger after the Man City friendly.
"We could see that we have played together for a while now, so there’s a good fluidity and understanding in our game and reading of each other,
‘I felt our transition from defence to attack was good, defending was good for the most part and physically we look ready"

It's his last season folks.
Let's hope it ends very badly for him. The hateful, greedy, selfish nutjob.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
We won't pay 25 Million for Mustafa. We need the money to sign a striker !!!
This has now become just insane, it's been bad before but it's worse now because of the extra money from the Sky deal.
Is it just Wenger being a mad man who knows but it's the very very large amount of fans who have just had a wet fish smacked around their faces.
Just what are Arsenal doing with all their money ? It's a bloody good question but the lie goes back to 2004. We will build the stadium and compete for the worlds best players.
I really really hope the next manager gets lots to spend because we will lose our best players at the end of this season without doubt.

the message about the money has got confused this summer.
I have never been totally convinced that Wenger has always been given free rein with the money.
if it has always been there for him to spend then yes fair enough the blame solely lies with Wenger.
however what of Gazidis comments last month when he said that Arsenal can't afford to compete in the market?
if we can't compete then yes the question needs to urgently be asked - WHERE HAS THE MONEY GONE ???

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Arsenal need a centre half, and if Mustafi is available for 25m, but Wenger's 'valuation' is 20m, then if that is what stops the deal from happening. Explain to me how Arsenal are not hostages to Wenger's ego?
Why should Arsenal FC suffer just because Wenger cant bring himself to compromise his 'philosophy'? If you work for a company, and its in the best interests of the company for you to do something, but you have a 'moral' objection to doing whats required to enhance the company - your effectivly putting yourself over the greater good of the company.
And that is what Wenger has done for years at Arsenal. His moral crusade against big spending, has fuked us over more times than im willing to count. Point and case Suarez - the title would have been ours at a cantor last season, but Wenger felt a fee beyond 40m was not 'value' in his mind, so it didnt happen.
As for the idea Wenger loves Arsenal so much he doesnt wan to be careless with its money, thats rubbish. The real reason is, he is buys into the concept of being a value manager who doesn't spend big, far too much, and thus is not willing to be flexible in that regard, as in his mind, it would undermine the perception of him as a value manager who doesn't like to spend big.
So the needs of Arsenal, are secondary to Wenger's manifesting his own ego. And thats why, I can never forgive him, for literally believing he is bigger, and more important than the club.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I concur...sad but horribly true...we all know that wenger lives in his own stubborn little world where he dictates and controls everything.....so why should anything that may happen this season change the ;little pictures and voices the delusionalcunt sees and hears in his head...he will only go when he decides and that is the woeful and terrible truth.DB10GOONER wrote:It ain't.armchair wrote:It's his last season folks.
So we can either continue watching and continue suffering or look away till the success in failure is gone and suffer slightly less.
Put it this way if there are any Gooners who suffer from the slightest form of depression - not to do with Arsenal - then turn away and save yourself...if there are any Gooners who suffer depression because of the situation at Arsenal - then definitely run the fuck away till he is gone coz it IS going to get well ugly and a whole lot worse before the cun.t fucksoff.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I've said it on here before, but even if this is last season(which it isn't), do you really expect him to just leave, and have zero interference with the new manager? The guy is an ego maniac, so when he does leave, he will be going upstairs to dictate to the puppet brought in to replace him. Barring ill health, or him dying, he is going to be here in some capacity, for the next 10 years, at least.armchair wrote:It's his last season folks.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
the Mustafi situation is where Gazidis needs to get a grip on things - can you imagine this happening when David Dein was at the club?
I already know that Arsenal don't have any ambition - if we don't buy Mustafi this just confirms it.
just think we could have had Higuain and Mustafi for about £100 million. Yes I know it is a lot, but Arsenal generates a lot of money, SKY pay a lot of money, finishing 2nd in the league paid a lot of money, our annual CL qualification paid a lot of money! SO FUCKING SPEND IT!!!
the club may as well just say to all Arsenal season ticket holders - We conned you again, we conned you again, we conned you again!!

I sincerely hope the board have the sense to follow Man Utd's lead on this and if they do keep him, give him an ambassadorial role, and give the new guy autonomy.BFG4 wrote:I've said it on here before, but even if this is last season(which it isn't), do you really expect him to just leave, and have zero interference with the new manager? I think after Dein left, Wenger took over his role as negotiator, and it's never been the same since. Dein was a total asset to Arsenal, the club hasn't been the same since.Gunner Rob wrote:the Mustafi situation is where Gazidis needs to get a grip on things - can you imagine this happening when David Dein was at the club?

I think all this is much worse for Arsenal fans because we have been lied too. I'm sure Ozil and Sanchez were lied too as well regarding other players we would sign and our vision for the future.Gunner Rob wrote:the Mustafi situation is where Gazidis needs to get a grip on things - can you imagine this happening when David Dein was at the club?

Fans have been a massive part of the clubs financial growth from match day revenue alone. When you add the TV deal and all the money we get from Champions League then you can see why we are worth 1.1 Billion.
Worst case scenario is that Kronke will never sell and never allow decent amounts of money available for transfers to any manager.
We will then be very very stuck. Best case scenario is that it is all just Wengers fault and once replaced we compete at the very top level and sign the best players for the going rate at the time.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Its tragic that RVP was on the money. Sat down with le fraud for a chat, le fraud spelt it out and RVP said fuck this im outta here.
This time it'll be Ozil and Sanchez that realise they've been sold a crock of shite and will bail.
Ultimately I cant blame them, but holding onto a manager that cannot hold on to players is criminal, the horrible fear is that its the grim reaper alone that can release us from footballing purgatory....sadly not for many year to come I suspect!!

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Maybe RVP wasnt as much if a judas ( at first!) as has been made out. Le Fraud is a liar. I believe we are bring lied too about transfer funds or the amount available. If we dont have the money for decent signings then FFS! Just say so.
