Can see this happening as he will not sign Mustafi for anywhere near £50 million
Suppose if you want him out this is exactly what we need
Could not give a fuck about the games until he is out
Clubs aren't stupid, the more desperate you are the more they'll charge. The reality is that Wenger, instead of swanning off to the Euro's, should have spent 75-100mil on a top class CB & a CF. Instead he dithered until the last minute wondering...hoping, hoping, hoping he could get away with what we have.
In truth had Mertersacker & Gabriel not been injured we wouldn't even be pretending to look for a CB. Our business would have long been concluded. I think it is anyway, nobody's coming because nobody wants to come to him.

This Mustafi transfer shambles is quite amusing and really highlights what an incompetent bunch they have working at Arsenal....Manager, negotiator and scouts.....they really don't have a clue
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Wenger’s sarcastic comment about Holding not costing £55m reminds me of this little gem from 2 years ago:
The man should have been sacked and declared insane for that comment alone.“We have signed Sanogo. He has not made the headlines. Why? Because he is not 50-100 million pounds. But I am quite confident he will make them soon on the pitch and that for me is the most important. Sanogo will surprise you because your expectation doesn’t look as if it is really high. He will not surprise me because my expectation level is very high. He is a top class striker”.

That was quality trolling even by his own standards and it is even more laughable now as we know how that turned out...

more interesting as an insight into the way Wenger thinks....yes think he has mental issues....seriouslyClash wrote:Wenger’s sarcastic comment about Holding not costing £55m reminds me of this little gem from 2 years ago:

What Arseblog and John Cross have both said is that the problem is Wenger and not the negotiators.
It sounds like he has built himself up a reputation of dithering when a deal is nearly done and changing his mind - probably pissing off the negotiating clubs in the meantime. It certainly adds credence to what Gazidis said earlier this summer about being scared about making a mistake - I don't think that was Gazidis actually saying this, but actually rabbiting Wenger's policy. And we know how shit he has been in the past with his negotiating skills, occasionally striking lucky (Ozil, Sanchez), but usually stinking the place out (Suarez, Higuian). However, what used to work for him no longer does, especially when one leaves it so late in the window to try to poach a teams best player. In the past, the only couple of times that he managed to get good players was when the teams were actively looking to sell or another piece of a larger puzzle needed to fall into place.
This year it looks more and more like the window will slam shut and Wenger won't sanction moves that we should have had months ago. Now, it will likely cost him double on each transfer.
That being said, I'm absolutely loving it.
I want to see more people shouting Wenger Out at the stadium. He completely deserves it.

Fan and employee of the club resigns after the 600 employees comment. More bad press for the manager!!

Not a fear of that being true, but I still found it funny

Could this be TOF's final season after all? I fucking hope so

Keep singing, lads! Get the banners out!

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
The media again showed on Saturday what spineless wankers they are. How could any reporter listen to his 600 employees comment, and just let it go. The obvious response was, "Arsene, are you suggesting, one of the richest clubs in the world, must balance paying its employees with signing players"? Wenger knows he can talk nonsense, with little fear of being questioned on it. As for the likes of John Cross(and the other Sunday supplement gang) it is a great example of criticising Wenger when its fashionable to do so. Cross, and the rest of the media will be lauding the 'achievement' of finishing 4th, next May. Until the media go after him consistently, then soundbites here and there, are just pointless. On a sidenote, can Ian Wright just fuck off. He was a great player, but changes his mind on Wenger every day of the week. Have a position and stick to it.

Not sure about of any of the other rags but the Wenger out chants were mentioned in the Daily Hate today.

Act like a Dick in the transfer market and you get laughed at, price put up, then ignored.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
He operates on both sides of the fence. On one hand, he rationalizes not winning the league or CL because other clubs have bigger resources. Yet at the same time, rejects the notion spending money improves the team.
He switches sides simply to suit him. When the transfer window is open, its money doesn't buy success. Although when the season is in full swing, he plays the role of the financially constrained manager who despite his best efforts, cant make up the spending short fall. And we are to celebrate the 'success' of finishing in the top 4 with 'limited resources'. Simply ignoring the fact the 'limited resources' are self imposed. Also ignoring this is a manager who rejected the notion spending improves the team, but when it suits him, wants to use money spent as a justification for why he doesn't compete for the league or CL.
He gets away with it, because the press never call him out on it.
I also dont rate Wenger as a man, and not just a manager. Because what kind of principled man so easily changes positions just to advance his own interests.
