So you expect Sanchez to be the hold up man all season in a rigid formation that won't benefit him?

Alternatively he could be the front man in a more flexible system (more 4-3-3 than 4-5-1) which utilises pace and movement rather than brawn and hold-up play to benefit the team. He could also play on either side of that formation (including in a 4-5-1) and alongside Giroud if switching to a 4-4-2.

I won't get too excited until it is actually confirmed but if we pull this off I think it will be a cracking signing.

Well his 'tried and trusted formation' always used to be 4-4-2 before he switched it a few years ago. Perhaps he will see the sense in doing so again?
