The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Saw vardy quoted somewhere yesterday saying he never had any talks with anyone at Arsenal.
You've been very quiet in terms of any transfer rumblings coming from France, McD.......anyone would think that your source of information on French players had suddenly disappeared or something

Didn't we have a spurs fan on here a while ago with a cousin in France who was a world expert on obscure footballers

He's back, maybe it was just Hartson that fucked himself in the Thames after the 5-1 defeat to Newcastle after all

We will not get a bargain deal until we drop out of top 6 and European football. We are top 4 and in CL. Last season Southampton paid £8m for Van Dijk yet was available to us for £16m. Unfortunately, the mark up comes with the territory. Pay it, get the deal done.
Our squad, as it stands, is good enough to get top 4 this year - business done as far as Wenger is concerned :barscarf: We can't 'outgun our rivals' remember, Ivan said so

Don't think its good enough, and don't think they will get top 4
ManUre, Citeh and the Chavs will most likely finish above us. Can't see Spuds or Liverpool doing so though.

Regardless, if the Specialist in Failure felt the VT was under threat, you can bet your left nutsack he'd make some fucking signings!

In my opinion even if we don't sign anyone else before the kick off we will still win our first 3 games then some deadline day signings should set us up nicely for a title push, although still probably wont win it

I dunno about that one - he isn't a striker so why buy him unless we are going to buy a proper quality striker as well (and a centre half of course). I know that a lot of fans would like mahrez (and to a lesser degree draxler), but we do already have the ox, iwobi and Campbell who can fill that spot - of course I know that none of the current options are as good as mahrez, but if we bought a top quality number 9 we could get away with those players on the wing but signing mahrez or draxler and playing them alongside giroud will not lift us up to the required level imo

You can never have too much quality!

Look at City signing that boy yesterday. Think they really needed him? Nah

We could so fucking get Draxler if we had an ounce of bollocks as a club. Arsenal or Wolfsburg?

He picks Arsenal every time.

This is seriously got to be one of the dumbest stories that I have seen. If you have played Football Manager before, you will notice a few familiar things...

If there is a single player we do not need this year it's Draxler.

He's young, versatile, unnecessary and wants to leave which makes him the perfect Wenger signing, unfortunately.
