THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

After Mustafi and Perez sign for us, and we stuff Watford, then the talk of this being Wenger's last year will all but end. The amount of *word censored*'s i've seen, who have never seen Mustafi play before, or hadn't heard of Perez before, and yet are claiming both, as world class signings. The media are also doing their best, to over-hype both signings. As long as certain people defend Wenger, then there will be fuck all reason for him to leave.

Was Wenger asked about the Griezman rumour in the press conference?
That Wenger wanted to sign him but the board refused

No offence to you but that is absolute bullsh*t - people continually acknowledge that the board are in awe of the senile old c.unt, and now we are supposed to believe that they would refuse to buy a player he wants ?? :? Absolute bollocks being created by crunts trying yet again to deflect blame from le cock

Wenger has admitted he has never been refused transfer money. Hes in charge of all transfers in or out and for how much and wages anyway so its up to him. The board defer to him on all footballing matters.
He is part of board meetings so to say the board refused him money means he refused himself money.

Just typical lies and bullshit made up and regurgitated by Arsene supporters to deflect and distract. Its been going on for years.

Mustafi and Mertesacker were both accidents waiting to happen during the World Cup. It was only when Mustafi got injured and Mertesacker got dropped that Germany's defence looked solid. No surprise that we got the two dodgiest defenders from the World Champions.

Mustafi looks short for a CB, not sure how tall he is though?

Looks strong enough but needed someone to complement Kos lets see how it works out

Wenger comments yesterday....

He said: “Look at my face. Am I the face of somebody who does a panic buy?

“I’m happy when our supporters are happy but my focus is on strengthening the squad in the right way.

“If you look at last season for example, it is not necessarily the club who bought the most that is in front.

“It’s my job to make the right decisions for the team and the club. At the end of the season you will see if I made them.”

What an arrogant deluded old man!

And why doesn't any journalist have the cojones to challenge him when he spouts this utter garbage season after season??

For years the chump said that nobody can compete with financially doped clubs. Suddenly he drops that and tries to use Ranieri's success as justification. Followed by "Judge me in May" again.

The day the stupid old chump finally leaves will be almost as good as 26th May 1989

Le fartpipe is an absolute fartpipe  this summer has been an utter shambles..lack of preparation and signings before kick off has us already out of the title race  it's not even the end of August ffs. The only reason this 50mil spunkathon has happened is cos he fears for top4  jose and pep are battle ready (they weren't fannying around a tv studio in France in june-july) conte was managing italy but is far more prepared evidently..i had hoped he wouldnt spend anything, the fact he has tells me one thing. The extension is coming :(
