The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I dunno about that one - he isn't a striker so why buy him unless we are going to buy a proper quality striker as well (and a centre half of course). I know that a lot of fans would like mahrez (and to a lesser degree draxler), but we do already have the ox, iwobi and Campbell who can fill that spot - of course I know that none of the current options are as good as mahrez, but if we bought a top quality number 9 we could get away with those players on the wing but signing mahrez or draxler and playing them alongside giroud will not lift us up to the required level imo

I agree. There's no getting away from the fact we need a top class striker. We've got enough players who can fill the role which mahrez/draxler. Personally a big fan of Campebell, hope he's given more playing time this season. Amazing at executing reverse passes.

Look at City signing that boy yesterday. Think they really needed him? Nah

We could so fucking get Draxler if we had an ounce of bollocks as a club. Arsenal or Wolfsburg?

He picks Arsenal every time.
 May I remind you of this gem from 3 years ago...

Luiz Gustavo chooses to join Wolfsburg over Arsenal

Fast forward to 2016 and we still can't even lure players from fucking Leicester

If I understood right, that was actually sponsored by Football Manager? Well anyway, I would take him immediately, put him on the left wing where he played in the Euros and move Alexis on the right. After this wally wanker can fuck right off!

Rumours that the chance of Mahrez coming to The Arsenal have been re-ignited.....Probably by his agent to get them both a 'nice little earner'. :?

What is wengers obsession with buying wingers and then trying to convert them into strikers, if you needed a table would you buy a couple of chairs and throw a few boards across them?, would you f**k! You'd buy a bastarding table, BUY A F**KIN TABLE, you doddering old gobshite. (When I say table I mean striker, can you imagine him wandering IKEA looking for bargains  )

I agree and if Mahrez or Draxler signings happened that would be only replacement signing for wally. We still need urgently proper striker and CB. Mustafi would do as CB but I'm not so sure about Lacazette... but I'll guess he would do over Giroud any day. As you said, Giroud needs replaced and that should be our priority number one.

Yeah it was. However, I didn't expect to get Football Manager ratings like you would see in the game. I thought that they may use hard stats. :D

I think Draxler and Mahrez could play further forward. vanJudas and TH14 were both wide players. I've not seen much of Lacazette but he seems a way down the list of French strikers and he's been around a while.

Draxler want's to leave Wolfsburg and his preferred destination is the Emirates over Juve. Another one that isn't coming then.
