THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Anyone got the phone number of either of these guys ?

Don't expect any big name signings with Eddie Howe as manager. World class players want to know the manager at a big club is well respected in Europe, such as Simeone, Ancelotti, Guardiola etc. Wenger just about gets away with it sometimes because of his past achievements but then when the player realises he's signed for a fraud it's too late.

Wenger would never pick Eddie Howe as his replacement. Not enough tippy tappy in Howe's style of play.

If Howe wins a cup or gets top 4 he will most likely end up at Manure at some point in the next 5 years - either as direct replacement for Moron-hio after Moron-hio has the hissy fit we all know he will have, or as replacement for the guy that replaces Moron-hio and fails.

Doesn't that photo say it all about latter-day TOF? Not even following the play and looking daggers at someone (fourth official, no doubt). The perspective makes him look much bigger than the players and almost as big as the stadium (which he built with his bare hands, of course).

This book has already been written by Alex Fynn and Kevin Whitcher anyway.

I'm told her Invincibles book is very good, although it's incredible and tragic that TOF turned away from that winning style to this sideways shite that we're stuck with.

I could accept not having big name signings, as long as he could get the best out of the players we have and make additions where necessary. Not having any more sideways football, with poor defending and attacking would be a bonus.

Then again, it seems that he is very comfortable at Bournemouth. He didn't even want to stay at Burnley. If he can keep Bournemouth in the PL, he could stay there for the rest of his career.

I actually asked my south American assassin friend if he was available to do a special discount price to also execute a short arsed jackeen gestapo mod, but he said with a target that small the price is always doubled and I couldn't afford that :(

Twenty years of Arsenal!

Yes, it will be great to read a book about the history of the club since its inception in 1996. Not twenty years of Arsene; twenty years of Arsenal! Insane.

Have to say, every single thing about Amy Lawrence highly fucks me off. Really wish she'd piss off and leave us all alone.

“We did it [the signings of Mustafi and Pérez] quite early compared to some other clubs because we finished our job on Saturday and the transfer deadline was on Wednesday. It was earlier than expected, because it was a quick turnaround on Saturday morning, which we didn’t expect to go so quickly.”
He went into banter overdrive mode again today. Doing your business with three days left of a 3 month window is considered wrapping up your business early in Wanka World.

In the early days Amy used to contribute to the Gooner.

The book will be shite as half of the 20'years have been a case of deja vu , the reason we want him out :D
