According to Italian newspaper Corriera Dello Sport, Jovetic's agent is in London to meet Arsenal representatives.

If we sign Jovetic, RVP can fuck off for all I care.

He isn't really a striker. More like an attacking midfielder/deep lying forward. A bit like Arshavin (without the laziness and short stature).

think thats what we need tbh. Pod i think will be used on the left. Giroud as a front man to replace RVP
This guy behind in a creative role could be great. Dont think it will happen though, he is way to big for us. Above Arsenal
Re: McDowell's shittest of the shittest VANITY 'Rumours' Thr
He would be perfect behind the striker. Would replace what we've lost with Cesc's departure in terms of creativity.
How is he too big for Arsenal? He's won nothing in his career so far, been involved in a relegation dogfight last season, and is still only 22. He would fucking jump at a chance to join us.

Firstly, some good news.
http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/football/9 ... at-arsenal
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is desperate to tie his top players down to new deals having seen Samir Nasri, Gael Clichy and now Robin van Persie hold the club to ransom with just 12 months left to run on their contracts.
Wenger is poised to open negotiations with England winger Theo Walcott, who only has a year left, along with teenager Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the next few weeks, but central defender Koscielny is first in the queue.
According to French paper L'Equipe, Koscielny will be offered a new five-year deal that will take the 26-year-old through to 2017 on vastly improved terms.
Koscielny has been a big success following his transfer from Lorient in 2010, despite playing in the French second tier only three years ago.
He has four caps for the French national team, with the latest coming at Euro 2012 when he started against Spain in the quarter-finals.
Manchester City, Barcelona and AC Milan have all taken a shine to Koscielny, but Arsenal hope a new contract will put paid to any transfer talk.
Koscielny is expected to sign on in the next few weeks, and will be boosted by the arrival of close friend Olivier Giroud from Montpellier.
Now, to expect some poor news.

Only Liverpool have been reported to have made a bid for him as of yet this summer. There was another tenuous link with Chelsea and that is it. Wenger loves Jovetic and bid for him on deadline day last summer, but the bid was predictably rejected.mikeyb772001 wrote:1989 wrote:He would be perfect behind the striker. If we really want Jovetic, we have a great chance of signing him, absolutely. We offer CL football which is a massive draw for players, we'll offer him a decent wage, most likely a starting place and the chance to develop and fuck off elsewhere when he grows tired of Wenger's trophyless policies.

That article basically says that the agent was in london and had a meeting with AW, so who knows?
I think it (this deal) will depend on much we get for RVP - as the asking price for Jovetic is in the £16 - £20 mill bracket.
fingers crossed.

Since Fiorentina are trying to buy Chamakh off us, we could do a swap deal. £15m + Chamakh for Jovetic would be ace.OneBardGooner wrote:That article basically says that the agent was in london and had a meeting with AW, so who knows?

Aaaaw DON'T remind me Mikey....I was so fired up when I heard we were in for Mata - and then we lose out coz the chav *word censored* offered him £10k a month more...and better image rights....he wanted to come to us, but apparently his agenmt also got a nice 'wedge' from the chavs for sorting the deal to their advantagemikeyb772001 wrote:if it happens i wont give a fuck about rvp

mate. we took to long. when we first had the option to sign him the chavs wasnt even in the running
we delayed and took to long. He was on 30k a week and we could of got him for about 50-60 and for about 15mil
Wenger didnt bother as he was waiting on nasri. Then the chavs came in and by then it was to late as we would never win a bidding war
