THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Brace yourselves for the next couple of weeks of pro-Wenger bullshit and double-speak in the press :banghead:

It doesn't matter that 40% of his reign is filled with repetitive and wilful failure, general disregard for domestic cups and sideways passing bottle-job midgets. It doesn't matter that the press seem to tacitly agree he's a busted flush, yet still laud him for his first 10-12 years.

And he still probably won't leave next summer :suicide:

"The Gunners are growing increasingly concerned by Aaron Ramsey's recovery from injury. The 25-year-old midfielder has not played since the first day of the season because of a hamstring injury.(Sun)"

But...but... but... I thought this was 'normal'... :?

Don't worry, apparently those last ten years weren't full of underachievement, embarrassment and wasted money, it was all just "inconvenient facts"...

From Any Lawrence's article

"as an arsenal fan i am thoroughly embarassed that a section of our support has been brainwashed as much to the point where 50 and 55 year old otherwise mature men sit and cry on tv cameras because arsenal aint perfect yet."

How can she not see that the brainwashed ones are the fans that still have total faith in Wenger despite the overwhelming evidence of the last 10 years, where the same mistakes are made year in year out. Even this season he admitted after the first game that we weren't ready which is unforgivable.

Not 100% sure on this but I think that quote was from someone commenting on her article rather than something she wrote herself?

Am I right or wrong there? :rubchin:

In that Amy Lawrence article he actually at one point is quoted as saying; “I believe in the last 15 to 20 years you have all of that – fantastic periods, difficult periods – I stayed here for the respect I have for all that. Over 8 million bits of respect.”

Okay, I might have interfered with that a bit. :rubchin:

Kinda like REB or augie left alone in a field with a goat. You know they are gonna "interfere" with it.

Yep it was a comment from an idiot, not from Amy's mouth. Although she is an idiot. :rubchin:

Fuck me, what a nothing article that was.  Not one shred of fact or proof of anything at all. :x I'd believe something scribbled on a toilet wall before one word from the Daily Star. It's how I found out that Spuddy sucks dick for cash.

The club's "plan" for Wexit is to let him pick his successor, End of. We all know it. :|
