At least 50%, I reckon. It's obviously different for every loan deal but a reasonable rule of thumb is; If a club sends a young player out to gain experience the club that owns the player usually continues to pay 100% of his wages. If it's a loan at the receiving club's request the club that owns the player might only pay 25%.

For Chesney, as he's not young or inexperienced really, I'd say 50% is a reasonable guestimate. Of course good old big mouth Chesney is another of the overpaid failures from Project Wenger that we now cannot get rid of until their contract runs down. Wenger, the economic genius, my hairy hole! :x

There is absolutely no excuse for loaning out debouchy (galatasary want him on loan according to meeja) - at his age he should either be sold or kept in the club altogether. If the player himself is pushing for a move somewhere to play regularly (I can understand that), then he should be willing to make financial sacrifices to get that move he wants - of course in arsene fc we allow the player to dictate what happens and we continue to financially subsidise his ambitions with another club  I like debouchy and I feel that his injury robbed us of a very good full back, but I'm fcuked if I'm gonna agree to him getting what he wants whilst we have no proper right back to cover bellerin - if he is desperate to leave then he should be told to drop his wage demands for every interested club, and don't look for the remainder of his contract to be paid up by our club, and that would allow us to look for a reduced transfer fee and it would suit all interested parties

I hate to say it, but this is one of the ramifications for the Premier League and the new money that has poured in. We can afford to pay big transfer fees (with the exception of Arsenal, of course, because we are really poor and do things the right way) as well as larger wages. That being the case, players aren't going to want a reduction in wages and the other European clubs know this, so players are loaned out. It happens with many other teams as well, not just us, sadly. For example, Chelsea last year had a number of players loaned out and this year, Baba Rahman was just loaned out to Schalke for the season.

Chelski do what they do cos they can afford to do it - they hoover up any young player with potential in case any of their rivals grab them, and then they simply farm them out and hope some of them become quality players

Yes players wont want to take a drop in wages, but then my answer to them is simple............you stay where you are 8) Debouchy is a good player and an excellent back up to bellerin, so we as a club have no reason to want/need to send him out on loan, so if he wants out then he has to make the sacrifices imo

Looks like Debuchy going to Galatasaray on season loan, bit sad this one as can't help thinking the "challenge" on him which which put him out of the game for months was a turning point.....he did look solid defending at that stage....but never got his form back

Was it a Norwich player who shoved him into the hoardings....that was dangerous play....which if i remember correct did not warrant a booking

It's not so much about 'right' mate ..More about Norwich and the orcs BOTH being in Duelling Banjo country - it's just that having six digits on each hand the Orcs get cofnused when someone puts a banjo in their hands.
