that's not quite what i meant - what i meant is, that walcott is not worth 5 times a 'prospect' or journeyman winger. which is what we are being asked to pay.
for walcotts offered wages of 70k, you could bring in three young kids and probably expect one of them to work out, and still not be saddled with an injured/out of form player on 70k who no-one wants to buy.
and i think we can agree that Walcott too " has struggled to live up to the hype and to impress beyond the odd game " can't we ????
