THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Wenger even acknowledged he was a bit shit at the AGM this morning.

This is how he opened his speech:
Yes it’s 20 years, I’m sorry but I would like to thank you for your consistent support. I would like to apologise for every minute I make you suffer in these 20 years

What he should have said;
Yes it’s 20 years, I’m sorry.

So I'm confused, is being in the Champions League a hindrance to our Title aspirations? Is that what the fool is saying? they (M boro) had the luxury of a week off while our superstars had a titanic battle with FC Ludicrous from Bulgaria..
That explains a lot, as did his comments a few years back about sacrificing the Champions League for the FA Cup

the fact that 'boro are scouting us in other games, and preparing specifically for us is immoral and wrong. it is unfair and against the spirit of football, what next- are opposition goalkeepers going to try and stop us from scoring :| ?

there is just no way we can compete any more unfortunately. :(

The only contracts that matter right now are Ozil, Sanchez and Bellerin.

Wenger has already said he wont look at this own situation until after the season - so if he doesn't have the PL or CL, he is an out of contract manager without a major trophy in 13 years.

But for him to sign a new deal, before any of Bellerin, Sanchez or Ozil - would be a new low, even for him.

Like he'd give a fuck. :(

Most see Wenger as more important than any playing asset anyway. Plus, think of the spin one could put on it: "Ooh, Wenger's renewal will show his committment to the cause :blah: :blah: :blah: " :suicide:

Its a case of when not if he signs a new deal (its probably signed and on his desk) I just wish he would fuck off, this season will just be like all of the others..top4 and brownholed in the last 16.

I disagree, don't get me wrong those 3 players contracts are important, but as far as I am concerned the ONLY Contract of ANY importance right now, and for the foreseeable future is Wenger's.

If the cun.t signs on the dotted line again we Gooners are fucked for another 3 years or whatever it is...If he doesn't and leaves at the end of the season (which I don't think will happen - not while there's the offer of a £2.5 million per annum + bonuses increase on his current contract ready and waiting) then we stand a chance of re-building something akin to a football club that can put trophies before profit. Yes, that would take a number of years after the despot cun.t has fuckked off, but I am willing to pay THAT particular price.

No, thats cutting of your nose to spite your face.

Those three players all leaving would be worse than Wenger signing a new deal.
