Not entirely true Arshavin was outstanding when i first saw him and looked every bit a top class player but has ended up as shit a signing i can ever remember for the price we paid. Giroud deserves time if in time he doesnt deliver then fair enough but you cant judge him on 2 games in an Arsenal shirttopcat wrote:just looking at people arguing with baba about giroud....and as much as i hate babatundes attidude on this i do agree with him, i wasn't annoyed about him taking a shot, why the hell not!! but i can tell my his all around game that he is going to me another chamakh or bentdner, u can spot a top class footballer straight away by their movement, awereness, skill and control...for me he dosn't seem to have much going for him and will not turn out to be a great buy.

Re: Stoke v Arsenal match thread
Did people writing off Giroud after 115 minutes of football in a new system in a new team also say how shit Henry was when he struggled in his first couple of games? Or cringe when Bergkamp had the temerity not to score in his first five league games?
Alternatively did people immediately identify how shit Chamakh was when he was scoring a few goals at the start of 2010/11? Or (as Flash said) realise what a lazy and unproductive piece of shit Arshavin was when he took us to a CL place in 2008/09?
At the end of the day this is a forum for people to express opinions but I don't think that gives people licence to write players off after barely one game in English football, especially when that player is employed as a lone striker who has functioned in a system with almost no support from his wide men.
