With your definition of "pants", you've set the bar very low indeed, Steve.

In fact, can your definition apply to ANY striker playing in the football league? - they'd have to be totally retarded to fall into your "pants" drawer!

So really, all we can get from your post is that Theo and Giroud aren't totally and utterly retarded? :? brilliant - just what you want from a £12m striker and another who is about to sign a £100k contract! :barscarf:

What other pearls of wisdom have you got for us? - are goalkeeper's not shit if they can put their own gloves on unaided? and are defender's not dreadful is they can tie their own shoelaces? - I want you as our talent scout, Steve! - you'll fit right in :-P  ... come to think of it Steve, your surname's not Rowley, is it?! :rubchin:

DB10GOONER wrote:We were very poor up front, both Feo and Giroud were ropey, but they kept trying, so that was something... and in fairness Feo was unlucky - hit the post twice. And Giroud's ball for Wilshere's goal was quality. Apart from that though they were both pants really. Cazorla looked a bit hungrier and sharper than in previous games and Gibbs played well. Coq was ok, mixed bag really, couple of good tackles, couple of good passes, couple of shite passes - he deffo needs a run of games.

Sagna's confidence on the ball is shot to shit. He refuses to take people on, just turns around and looks for the pass back so often. What is up with him? He has quality, proper quality - but he looks unhappy and demotivated. Maybe Citeh or the chavs are quibbling about his wages for next season? Arsene knows.

Diaby is still not match fit but he showed glimpses of what he can do going forward. If we could keep him fit for a full season he'd be an immense player for us. Of course he'll air kick one on Sunday and go off injured at half time and we'll see him again on the opening day next season after he signs a 5 year contract extension during his rehab that'll put him on £100K a week. Arsene knows.

Wilshere though. Fucking hell. He is back to his best. He isn't pacey as such, but he has that natural burst of acceleration over 5 to 10 yards that takes him around people so easily. He was at the heart of everything good last night and his finish was quality. His passing, movement, vision, attitude, technique is so far above everyone else at The Arsenal it's frightening.

He is going to be a fantastic addition to the Man utd squad next season. Fantastic. :( :x

Arsene knows.
This is why I think AW should play Jack in the AM role using Caz on the wings. I think Jack is far more effective than Caz in that role as he is much more direct and that burst of speed will be made in a more dangerous area of the pitch.

That would leave Ox, Feo, Pod and Caz as our wide men, with Arteta, Coq , Diaby and a.n.other behind Jack. Would love us to sign a proper defensive dm which would allow Jack to play further up the field.

And for all of you doubters , I believe Jack will be a one club man. He is not going anywhere for the foreseeable future and his willingness to sign a new contract so quickly is a good sign.

Really struggling to follow your logic. Pants to me is pants. Pants is bad. My point was that pants was the wrong word in the original post to which I responded.

The best defence of Le Chapman yet ! I shall treasure this one. I'm not sure what's funnier - watching Le Chapman's comic book efforts or those leaping to his defence.

Quality stuff - keep it up

"I am very very very very very very very very fast."

(but not at signing contracts)

"Sometimes I score"

"And I am very very very very very very fast"

It's good to see selectivity and blinkered vision are both still going strong.
