Prefer him wide left or perhaps number 10.

We need to buy a striker this summer.
poldis got an injury and is playing with injections,he is also rusty but yes he has been shite, however tell me a striker who could actually look good when we build up so slowly that by the time the balls in a shooting oportunity theres 11 opposition stood in front of it.poldi will come good, not just now tho,the poor fuckers been warming the bench since january ,either that or Wenker has ruined yet another player :banghead:

4th place yes please
But we are not Spurs. The day we compare ourselves with them tells you who far down Wenger has taken us.We used to be Utd's rivals now its all about finishing above a team who havent finished above us for 18 years

You are the type of new fan Gazidis wants to fill the E******* with.Happy to finish 4th
You do know this Sp*rs rivalry pre-dates Wenger, don't you donaldo? hell, even George Graham finished below Sp*rs in the league and lost an FA Cup semi the year we won the league... it's not nice, but it happens to everyone...

well, not quite everyone... Wenger has never lost an FA Cup semi against them nor finished below them in the league.

In fact, I'm sure this Sp*rs argument is the wrong way round... surely the fact Wenger has NEVER - in 16 years at the club - finished below Sp*rs in the league is something exceptional, and NOT a stick to beat him with whenever we come close to losing such a remarkable record? :rubchin:

New fan? Ive supported arsenal since i was 9, was taken to the shit hole before that and hated it.
Im not happy to finish 4th at all, I'm happier when we win something. But at the moment, we are what we are and if 4th gets us above the scum, yes I'm happy.
I hate the scum, as much as I love the Arsenal.

No arguing tonight please......can we all just raise a glass to our lord and master for achieving what got Don Howe the sack i.e. scraping into 3rd place playing shitey football

But unlike poor old Don we've got the glory glory nights in Piraeus to look forward to.......and for that I'll be eternally grateful because this poor club will be doomed forever without Olympiacos, Braga and Slavia Prague to look forward to

Thank you Arsene from the bottom of my heart. I know the only alternative to finishing 4th is a lifelong existence to match Portsmouth and Leeds and for that alone you should be rewarded with a 10 year contract

When we finished behind them our wage bill wasnt £50m more than their's.Maybe we should create the "we finished above Spurs again" trophy to go with the "4th place" trophy and the "16 years of CL football" trophy.Build another trophy cabinet

Hilarious. You can deny a rivalry exists all you want mate, but it does and always has done regardless of how much you ridicule.

There's many things to have a go at Wenger about but almost, maybe, nearly one day finishing below them for the first time since Wenger arrived at the club is surely not one of them.

I suspect a summer operation is in the works, it has been clear he has not been 100% fit.
He has been OK in midfield, but I was never one to subscribe to the view that he was a striker being played out of position either, as he can play deeper too.
He was a very respectable striker in Germany, but not in the RvP or Messi category.

Yep. Have to say it's very tempting to put forward all the excuses for Podolski that have worn very thin with Giroud (e.g. lack of support, etc) but at the end of the day the fact is he's not good enough to play that role effectively for us. Still think he would have done a considerably better job over a season than Giroud but I think there are very few players in world football are. I don't think this rules Podolski out as a good striker, I think it rules him out as a good striker in our much-maligned system.
