Let's All Laugh At Man Utd! (Merged thread)
Re: Let's All Laugh At Man Utd!
It actually wouldn't surprise me if they pushed Moyes aside and got Fergiescum back in for the remainder of the season. He'd love it if he turned things around and got a CL place for them and he loves a bit of the spotlight does Fergie.

Fergie - no class at all, he goes to every game. A decent bloke would watch it on the telly, that can't be helping Moyes.

They will not sack Moyes under any circumstances for at least another year. Although Ferguson is now getting picked up on the cameras every game he's surprisingly kept his mouth shut (especially in the like of what he'd love to call a media vendetta against Moyes/United and refereeing bias) and in reality I don't think him going to the games makes a huge difference to the vast amount of scrutiny Moyes is under anyway.
Moyes set his stall out to be a whinging prick from the day he got the job. The outburst when the fixtures came out - where he expressly suggested that the PL had fixed the fixtures to give United a tough start because they were comfortable Champions last year - was frankly bizarre. Despite his limitations the one thing I was confident of was that Moyes would at least be his own man, but the way in which he's frothing at the mouth on the touchline and suggesting everyone has it in for them is like an ode to Ferguson. Except his stock isn't remotely as high as Ferguson's so the media are quite happy to pull apart what he's saying as complete rubbish, especially when the backdrop is their current league position and cup performances.
Can you imagine if they don't finish in the CL? Say what they like, that will be a huge huge problem for them.

This. Breathing down his neck like the grim reaper at every game home and away. Had to laugh at Joey Barton calling Fergie a c**t on twitter last night, first time I ever agreed with himclockender1 wrote:Fergie - no class at all, he goes to every game. I don't get that view. Ferguson in the stands is not the reason United are shit at the moment. A strong manager would not give a shit if he was in the stands.
Maybe he shouldn't attend the away games, but at home games he has every right to. He built that club and shouldn't be made to feel he can't attend a game.
The problem is they let Fergie choose the next manager. They should have gone for someone totally different, not a poor mans version.

Your'e bang on, it's not Fergie being at the games thats the problem at all, United are sh1te
But I still think he should let the new man bed into the job rather than be in the stands fro every game with his big whiskey nose monitoring each passing calamity. Every defeat those wankers suffer warms my soul.
MOYES IN

Maybe but at the same time he surely has to realise the extra pressure being put on moyes (his disciple) everytime the camera's show the old c*nt at the games. Of course at the end of the day ferguscum is only out for ferguscum and this was shown up by the release (and the timing) of his book - he knew the trouble it would cause with shrek and the club but he went for it anyway all for the sake of a few quid more but he has shown up his (scottish

I agree with rigsby. The media are trying to make a big thing out of it but the players and Moyes aren't thinking about Fergie being in the stand while they are playing the game. Fergie also can't be held responsible for the cameras panning onto him when they have lost, any more than when they did it while United were winning earlier in the season. If the mere presence of the former manager ( and now a club director) in the stand is enough to make the team under-perform or Moyes feel under pressure then it says more about the latter than the former.

I am loving every minute of this, especially the suggestion that United are on the wrong end of some bad decisions. Just another 25.5 years to even it all up.

I think that red-nose is praying that they get rid of Moyes so he can step in and save the day. His ego would almost demand that to happen. he could then release a specially extended version of his book to include his 'return to rescue the club I love'
Fortunately I don't think they'll get rid of Moyes unless they have a shite start next season.
