Thoroughly good win, and the fourth goal is what Arsenal are all about. Similar to Petit's first goal for the club against Wimbledon in 97-98. Now for an easy draw in the semi-final, Charlton would be nice!!

Have to say that I agreed wil all of wenkers subs today   Despite what some might think, ox's performance was very mixed - worked hard all day and never lacked in pace or ambition but his use of the ball/passing was woeful at times  In his defence, every time that he balls' up he worked his nuts off to cover back for his mistake.

By and large the team all played well - I feel that both full backs were poor for their goal, especially sagna, and I felt arteta was a lot more influencial having been pushed slightly more forward with the selection of flamoney. Have to say that I though that our "hard man defensive midfielder" ( ) was poor and was by passed for most of the game - they were playing 1 up top with barkley playing a bit deeper off him so flamoney should have been picking up him but was nowhere near him for most of the game :x

At the end of the day we are in the semi's now and if we were offered a win this morning we would bitten your hand off so to win 4-1 is very pleasing :barscarf:

Totally agree about Giroud. I'll not say hes shit cause hes not but hes nowhere near the kind of quality first choice CF we need.

But why oh why did you have to do the above? You do know we are now jinxed to fuck. :(

8)
We were a banker to draw them anyway

Now all the Giroud haters can go fuck themselves - he just took us to Wembley - perfect timing perfect positioning.

Great work from us on the right mind. From rosicky as well lol

And again.
I reserve my right to criticise him to my heart's content notwithstanding Sagna delivering the ball to him on a plate 6 yards out and Ozil presenting him with an open goal. Hopefully will spur him into form, his attitude has been poor recently. Even ignoring the sheer stupidity of the penalty retake incident he didn't seem interested in chasing any losing battles and even managed to get some gesticulating and shrugging in.

Good performance though - dipped after their goal but other than that more tempo and a more direct attacking style than we've seen for a while.

QUE SERA SERA - let's just hope we avoid Citeh because I've already inked in an all-dayer for FA Cup Final day :barscarf:
Fair enough - I may been just a little excited writing that mate. I love the cup - I have my 1998 shirt on and my 1979 scarf on me settee lol.

You have to admit his positioning for that 1st was spot on - watch his runs and adjustments and pointing in slo mo. tbf he had good service today - bac was trying to make amends for his fuck up perhaps ?

Fourth goal/Petit/what we're all about?

Augie - Ox was my MOTM for the game cos of his effort and that dummy that won the penalty. I bet that made Rocky smile on the Big North Bank in the Sky. He did make some fuck ups though I admit.

Totally agree about flam - hardly noticed him. But you're 100% correct he allowed Arteta to move forward and link up the play quickly, which he couldn't do with Jack alongside him.

Many of our better wins at Highbury came with very quiet performances from Edu and then Gilberto.

Many people didn't rate them either - until they were gone.

Tbf I did point out we'd be better without Jack earlier in the week - Ironic if we put ourselves in the position to do the double without him...

On train on way home from game. Great result.

However thier fans are utter scum. We were in the family enclosure and had bottles and coins thrown at us in both halves. Its the first time in years I thought I would lose the plot at a game. How tough at women and kids. Police and stewards done fuck all. I hope the scouse cu*ts have a pile up on the way home.

Not too worried about Citeh. Our best player will be back by the time we face them.

Probably looking for Gooners standing in the Aisle or singing too loudly to chuck out. Utter wastes of space.

i thought the whole team played well including the 2 subs rosicky and giroud. but the 3 that stood out were Ox, santi, and ozil. Santi was my man of the match. I thought he bossed the game going forward.

Edu was one of the most under-rated players to ever play for Arsenal.

Your attitude is similar to that of an AKB, when it comes to Giroud. Taking a quality performance like today, and seeing it as proof that Giroud is up to it, but forgetting the many shit performances, he has put in this season, only a week ago at Stoke, he was terrible. He was quality today when he came on, but it doesn't change the fact, he shouldn't be the main striker for a club like Arsenal, end of.

I think even the word quality is a stretch tbh - he was well placed to score what were effectively 2 tap ins so his performance is being talked up so much is beyond me
Of course it goes without saying that wakemeup was more akin to a pub level footballer today than any type of pro footballer   Normally you can see something about a young player that gives encouragement for the future but this kid has shown absolutely nothing to suggest that he will be anywhere good enough
