They're making less and less effort to try and conceal the fact that they are shutting on the fans from a great height.
Surprised at Wenger. Everybody here knows how arrogant and deluded he is but he rarely comes out with anything anywhere near as bad as comparing his CL record to his predecessors. Aside from the enormous holes in his statement it's just fucking disrespectful to the likes of George graham and Bertie Mee who actually fucking won European trophies.

It's also ridiculous that we seem to have the only manager who is effectively a member of the board and interviewed his own chief executive.
The board and Wenger are two cheeks of the same arse.
They've shat on the fans for seven years and counting.

Actually, you raise a valid point there, what did happen to the chicken tikka handmade pies we had when the stadium first opened? They were fantastic...Ikechukwu1 wrote:The Mirror did a piece today claiming Arsenal fans "won't let Wenger off easy" and that they are "not easily pleased" (LMAO). Which is news to me! If I was attending the AGM tomorrow and had 3 questions it'd be simple:
1. Please justify the £200m cash in the bank, more than any other club in the league - it's not spent on transfers so what is the owner keeping the cash in there for?
2. If Treble winning Barca could find players, how can a club that's failed miserably in the league and Europe for over a decade, justify not signing any players?
3. Is the manager accountable? If so, to whom? Since he said just the other day he didn't owe the fans or media any explanations after dismal defeats.
However, we all know our hardcore Red Action and AST buddies will have harsher questions. Expecting things like:
"Will you be decorating the clock with roses?
"Will the pies get a new filling this year?"
Also expect The Cook and Red Action to make their best attempts to stick Kroenke's wig on using only their own spunk

Absolutely. Never understand why people get hard-ons about the fact that he can supposedly read a balance sheet.Sean wrote:It's also ridiculous that we seem to have the only manager who is effectively a member of the board and interviewed his own chief executive.

Firstly he has an undergrad degree in economics as do about 50,000 people in the uk. Half of my mates have economics degrees from good universities and they're fucking clueless. He's not some esteemed professor, he makes these sweeping predictions about money in football that invariably turn out to be wrong. Like how football can't exist in a bubble and it was all going to come crashing down in 2008
Secondly why the fuck would we need a manager who understands that? That is what the CFO and board are for. Clough didn't used to audit Forests accounts, Ferguson didn't spend his days poring over Uniteds so why would Wenger possibly need to??
He's not a fucking expert and his perception of himself as one isn't just irrelevant, it's actually damaging because it's clearly shaped his fundamental transfer activity with these misguided predictions pf financial instability and the board are quite happy to let him crack on as long as they have a manager who inexplicably hates spending money and instead growing Wiggys investment.

What a vile, vermin cretinous bastard that Sir Chips is. His "“that one again.” line is straight outta the PHW book of showing utter disdain towards the peasants who pay his salary

Re: THE BOARD - Kroenke, Usmanov, Finances, AGM etc.
Gazidis yesterday :
“You don’t sign players like Ozil and Sanchez unless you have ambition to win the league and you don’t sign them without Wenger.”
Hmmmm so despite all the patting themselves on the back the club do about how intelligently run they are and how brilliant everything is etc. - its only because we have Wenger that we can sign great players? Players who have been dumped by their club as was the case of Ozil and Sanchez.
Doesnt say much for our status in the game does it? Gazidis is belittling the stature of the club when he comes out with shite like that. It's like that nauseating ''without Arsene, there is no Arsenal'' crap.

That is completely true surprised you havent understood ---- as Wenger clearly isnt fit for the job we will never win the league- simple as that.Ikechukwu1 wrote:H Wenger also claimed Arsenal would win the league if we "kept everybody fit". He honestly said this (John Dillon of the ES has quoted all this online).
Is this the first year someones stormed the stage though- looks to me to be less sanitisable than usual. Perhaps some worms are turning

It shows the position of strength the club/board/manager are in when they can be so ignorantly dismissive of their own fans. Oh, sorry - customers. I meant customers.
These fuckpigs that run our club know every single one of us is replaceable with a JCL bastard.
They couldn't give a flying fuck what we think.
If (maybe it will be when) the arse falls out of the PL and the JCL's move onto Baseball or whatever the next trendy sport is, then these cúnts that own our clubs will have empty stadiums to deal with. Of course no greedy bastard looks that far into the future whilst the cash cow is still delivering.
Every one of you JCL cúnts that turns up late to games with your iPad and your fucking selfie stick, every fucking one of you is killing our club.

Indeed. He's a shit bank manager, not a football coach worth almost £22K a day. Fucking Fraudnorthbank123 wrote:Absolutely. Myles palmer is suggesting that the board wont call the £3m payment a dividend because if they do so then they will have to pay dividends to usmanov and the other shareholders - not saying that it is a fact but it does make sense doesnt it ?

Re: THE BOARD - Kroenke, Usmanov, Finances, AGM etc.
Any hope AW had of leaving a positive legacy has disappeared.
I think he'll be remembered as the manager who cared more about himself than the famous club he was privileged to manage and who, when push came to shove, sided with the Board and not the fans (i.e. the people who will always be here when the money / attention - seeking owners have fucked off).
When he arrived I think he wanted the fans' love, but it became disdain, then irritation and now he seems to despise us.
2017 can't come soon enough.

I think you're completely wrong here.GranadaJoe wrote:Any hope AW had of leaving a positive legacy has disappeared.

His legacy will definitely not be as you describe above. Instead, it'll be remembered for the attractive football, longevity, 2 doubles, the invincibles, some of our greatest ever players, our first European Cup Final, moving stadium, a rise in revenue and status, a level of consistency that kept us in the CL every season, etc.
That's not necessarily my thoughts, but in reality I believe history will be very kind to Wenger. And arguably, rightly so.
To suggest that all that will be forgotten in favour of "cared more about himself", "sided with the board", etc. is surely incorrect and is more your personal view than how the majority of people will remember him in years to come?
The frustrations along the way that we all know about will surely be lost with the passage of time. What remains is the records and the general narrative of success followed by years of belt tightening. If he ends with a few trophies (2 FA Cups is a good start) then that may cement his legacy even further as it neatly completes the story.
Also, don't underestimate how even future manager's success at Arsenal will be traced back to Wenger and the groundwork he put in place here.
