Liverpool Away, our kid.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

cricket score if we'd played a side who could score goals today. Played like we'd been sedated. Too difficult it seems to even find a teammate with a pass all afternoon, even throw ins went to Liverpool players.
Was the banner there?

Ste Maguire: Sick of fickle fans wanting their manager/best players out after one poor match. Sort yourselves out.
which one ? - stoke, hull, leceister, united, swansea.

Here's a good game for Christmas. Pick the worst idea out of these ones:

I'm going to run across the M25 with my eyes closed.
I'm going to drink 10 pints of Stella and do a tightrope walk over a pit of hungry lions.
I'm going to buy some rat poison and put it in my cheese sandwich.
I'm going to go into the Millwall end wearing a Hammers scarf.
I'm not going to mark Liverpool's best player in the air with three minutes to go when they have a corner.
I'm going to spend £1300 on a season ticket to see my team's title challenge evaporate after two games.
I'm going to walk down Oxford Street with no clothes on singing excerpts from popular musicals and playing the banjo.
I'm not going to buy the missus a Christmas present this year.
I'm going to stick my head in a vat of boiling oil to gauge the temperature.
I'm going to heat my bath water up using an electric fire.

Tricky eh, but I think we can spot the two worst ideas straight off.

But can anyone think of anything even stupider than those two?

Let me get this straight. We are 2-1 up. They go down to 10 men and we sit back and invite them onto us? With OUR defence? Fucking insane. Was always only a matter of time until they scored the equaliser. :x

Good to see old Zonal Chaos working so well for us again. It's like lining up a heap of deer, turning on blinding spotlights and then just picking them off.

Tonight was the first time in history I've felt absolutely nothing when the opponent scores in the last minute. After we scored the 2nd - to sum Liverpool up - 'if they were a dog they would have been put down'. They started to play terribly, any sort of pressure we were winning the ball straight off them. The game was crying out for Wenger to show some attacking initiative and kill the game.. Theo, Podolski etc.

He didn't do it.. he continued not to do it.. he told us to drop deeper and deeper and even after clueless shit Liverpool got a red card we still didn't take the initiative instead opting to sub our left winger for a left back. It was inevitable. The equaliser was fucking inevitable. Wenger cost us the points today; nothing new there. He also was made to look tactically inept by Rodgers and he should count his lucky stars that our players are much superior to theirs because if we were playing a better team (Chelski, Citeh etc) we would have been destroyed.

We couldn't pass the ball all game. Even against 10 men we knew we would be unable to keep it so we didn't bother trying. We just sat back and hoped.

We are an atrocious team when we're out of our comfort zone. Stoke and Liverpool made us look a dreadful side and a million miles away from the unjustified reputation we have for being a great passing side. We can only turn it on when the opposition let us (Gala, Newcastle) and that is almost the very definition of being a flat track bully.

QPR will let us play our football and we'll be back to looking like world beaters. But it's nonsense; we're not learning lessons and we're not showing mental strength - we'll come unstuck again the very next time we're out of our comfort zone.

I really struggle to see when our next away league win will come from; we are simply wretched to watch & so easy to work out a toddler could do it.

Wenger will still get out of jail though and finish fourth, because our 'rivals' are equally abysmal, but if anyone tries to laud it as a "great achievement" I will puke.

We get what he pays for – the Virtual Trophy.

I'm not even sure we'll get top 4. As you said in your post, I'm not sure where our next away win will come from. West Ham & Southampton will be very difficult, as with City and Spurs of course.
